Rowan sat up and nodded. "what the heck was that thing? and what was that in my nose!" he said licking his nose tenderly.

"They were quils" Shira said and laughed, "Lesson learned, don't stick your nose into unknown animals" she said and smiled and nuzzled him

Rowan snorted then yelped. "ouch yea i think i got that one mom. im not sniffing that thing ever again!" he said shaking his head a little.

Shira laughed, "Well I hope not" she said and licked his nose again

Anicka

Anickas face burned, she snarled and jumped up biting its leg trying to get it down.

The fat porcupine hurried up the tree as far as it could go.

Keran raced up to anicka and barked loudly. "get away from that creature this moment!" he ordered. looking up at it he flattened his ears. "its a porcupine. they dont mess with anyone. it defended itself out of fear. your lucky he didnt get your nose too." he said still frowning up at the beast.

Rowan pulled his head back from Shira. "stop it im ok now it just hurt." he said trying not to be a mommas boy.

Shira flatened her ears, "Sorry" she said

Rowan lowered his head. "sorry momma. i still love you." he said wagging his tail.

"I know you do sweety, Im just so sad, your not my little baby anymore" Shira said and smiled a little

Rowan sat up a bit taller. and looked at his mother. He was her size now at a year old he was still not filled out yet but it was apparent he would be larger like his father. he grinned at her with a classic crooked look he picked up from Keran at a young age. the one side of his lip curled up while the other stayed flat a sort of half smile. he wagged his tail and looked at her lovingly. "I will always be your baby, momma. But i think your right..im not little anymore." he said grinning again.
