The small she-wolf slinked amongst the foliage, her ears and head pointed forward like an arrow as she descended deeper into the territory. She had picked up the scents so of course she wasn't clueless. This was someone else's turf. Yet at the same time, she came here to hunt. Pickings had been rather measly on her side for a few days now, even the smallest of hares and rabbits proving difficult to catch. And there was no way she could ever take on a deer or elk on her own without sustaining serious injury to herself, or possibly death due to her inexperience. She wanted to play it safe.
Sort of. The pack's territory seemed to buzz with animal activity. Her instincts told her to be wary of other wolves whilst her stomach willed her on the tempting trail of prey.
