Pris chuckled at the tom's greeting. "Hello to you too!" She walked closer, letting the two black and white cats continue on their way.

Riptide blushed a bit and spat out the mouse. "Hehe, hi." He started again, smirking a bit. "I'm Riptide." His eyes looked over the female and then back at her face.

Pris smiled. "I'm Pris." She sat down and waited for the tom to say something.

Riptide nudged his head over in the other cat's direction. "Are you with them?" He studied the other two. Obviously lovers...yuck. He suppressed a small shudder and turned his attention back to Pris.

Midge unbalanced herself as soon as both paws left the fence-post, squeaking in surprise as her tail was tangled by barbed wire, the kitten struggled to tear free, and with a puff she finally fell down into a muddy puddle of water. She pulled out and licked her injury in annoyance and slight pain. "Stupid human stuff!" Midge flicked her hind paw towards it and curved her ears forwards, now up to her muzzle in mud. Her dry tongue slowly stroked some off but she soon grew disgusted by it and ignored the fact that she was filthy, now licking dewy grass to rid of the taste.

Meko raced out of her yard, needing some time alone. The pretty calico slowed her pace as she got to the streets, eagerly taking in smells and sounds. She slipped through throngs of people, dodging sticky hands and older peoples wary eyes till she arrived at the alley. With a content sigh, Meko slowed her pace till it was at a walk.

Midge could scent something coming near - though it was unfamiliar so she shrugged it aside, that was until the thudding and loud noises came racing down the alleyway. The kit froze to her spot, eyes shining in fear as two large dogs came bounding towards her. Crouching low to the ground, she turned and bounded down the street - out onto the busy road with the dogs on her heels. Suddenly a large car came crashing forwards, just missing her but managing to frighten the dogs away. Hissing and spitting Midge curled up alone in a dark corner.

Pris shrugged. "Not really. Just met up with them a few minutes ago. You alone?" Once again her smallness reminded her of how impossible it was to make friends since everyone seemed to think she wasn't much more than a kitten.
