Shade sighed and and rolled his eyes slightly. "Why me," he asked, but in more of a statement, not a question. He flicked his tail slightly and focused on the trees ahead of them.

Adela thought for a moment. "Explore maybe? Its what I like to do most days," she suggested.

Kira let out a breath. "Why not you?" She said then sped up so that she was a little ahead of him. She turned to block his path. "You remind me of....well, me." She told him. "A loner that hated the thought of even being near a pack."

Shade stopped when she blocked his path. "It's not hate of packs that keeps me away from them. It's the hate of putting one's self above all others and going down the line from there. It's the hate of the inequality that wolves practice amoungst us," he answered, and just stood there, looking at her. His eyes were intense, not even moving slightly around in their sockets.

Kira's eyes locked with his. "Exactly. That's what I thought." She said and flicked her tail. "The hierarchy baffled me so much when I was alone. I never understood what made one wolf 'Alpha material' while another ended up being Omega." She shrugged her shoulders, her loner thoughts coming back to her. "Like I said, you remind me of me." She said, her eyes never leaving his.

Shade broke his gaze and looked off in the distance. "Then why are you here, near a pack?" he asked. He know it was kind of a stupid question, seeing as he was in the same situation as well.

Kira huffed out a breath. "At the risk of sounding cliche," she paused and flicked her tail. "I needed a family." She said simply and continued to look at him. "I was a lone fae, no home, no definite shelter, no promise of safety. All of that was fine until I was in heat." Her cheeks flushed for a moment. "Do you know how difficult it was to hide from packs of rouges while trying to take care of myself?" She shook her head. "Well, you obviously don't have that problem, but everything else should be the same. Don't you get lonely?" She asked, tilting her head a bit.

Shade's expression softened at this. But hardened back at her last question. "I enjoy lonliness," he merely replied with a slight growl. Honestly though he did get lonely at times, he just never let himself show it. His past didn't help as well with the occasional spells of lonliness and feelings sweeping over him. But for the most part he was like stone.

Kira watched as his expressions changed. She almost had it. She chuckled at his response. "You are a wolf. You can't sit here and look me in the eyes and tell me that you never get lonely. It's not in our nature." She pointed out. "Even rouges make packs every now and again."

Shade sighed and sat down. "Some times being lonely is just better," he murmured. He looked down at the groundand pawed at the dirt queitly.

Kira sat down, facing him. She tilted her head at his response. "Oh? Care to explain your logic?" She asked with a smile.
