Chaos felt the mare dig her eyes onto him for a few moment. He let out a bored snort, and sniffed the ground. Spring was here and the sunlight was also. D*mn that sunlight; he abhorred it. The one good thing about spring was mares. And snaking mares was fun too, especially if you win. Quickly glancing at Kenai, he had a malicious idea creep up his throat. His smile was cunning, eyes so seductively deceitful.

Kenai shook out her long black mane, draping almost neatly to her tan colored shoulder. She began to walk now; moving towards a little creek not far away; being spring, the first rather warm day, she was sure they would be thawed out; available for drinking by many creatures other than her. stopping at it's edge, she lowered her muzzle; drinking in the cool water carefully, listening as her ears moved from one spot to another.

Chaos galloped to the creek and drank his fill, not so far from Kenai. He noticed a wild deer nearby, coming to the water's edge to drink. Baring his teeth suddenly, his black eyes narrowing, Chaos lashed out at the deer, sending the poor doe running as if her life depended on it. Chaos puffed out his chest, looking mightier than he did before. His tossed mane and steely black eyes gave him a roguish edge.

Kenai had moved her blue eyes from the water; pausing long enough to watch the brown creature come close; only for Chaos to make his display of power and dominance, and send it running away. Her ears folded back along her crown, watching the puffed out Chaos from the waters edge.

Chaos noticed Kenai watching him again, and instead of the quick glance of recognition, he held his gaze with her. Chaos was strange, in an eerie and ominous way; his every move different, abrupt, and unexplainable.

Kenai let her gaze stay with the brutes; blinking once or twice as it could not be helped. She could not help but watch the brute, and fall curious of him. Was he showing off? Or could he simply have nothing to do, but to mess with her female mind? She was unsure, and let her tail flick behind her as her front left hoof pawed the ground slightly.

Chaos watched her, frozen in his position. He snorted, blinking only once. He slowly looked away, suddenly looking demonic. Rearing up, he pounded his hooves onto the ground. Once, twice. The dirt beneath his hooves began to crumble, as if it was hollow or the layer was thin.

Kenai raised her head, watching the brute rear and pound his front hooves on the ground not once but twice. She could feel the force through her own hooves as they were planted on the earth, not far away. She waited for a moment, before copying Chaos' actions, throwing her front hooves one the ground twice. She knew as a mare, she would not have the same force; or nearly as much.

Chaos looked at the mare again. He could smell her scent drift towards him in the wind. He figured the mare would come in heat soon. If she was part of no herd, he would snake her. If she was part of a herd, he would snake her. Something about her resistance to leave him made Chaos wonder. If they had a foal, what would it be like? Snorting, he erased the thought from his head, and figured that there would be better time to snake her, potentially when she was in heat.

[If Chaos did ever end up snaking her, would you be alright with it?]

Kenai rested her hooves on the ground, blinking her blue eyes as she watched the stallion near. She took a slowly placed step forward, lowering her muzzle into the cold water to drink again. She was aware soon she would be in heat; and this little game, if it could be considered so, would end, and a more serious game would ensue.
