Akira sighed quietly And stood up. She limped uncomfortably out of the small house. The moon was full tonight. She limped to the edge of the sea and lay down. She lay her head on her paws and stared at the waves silently. They crept up to her, as if trying to hide, and just before they reached her, they fell back and hid. She listened silently to the sounds of the waves, then slowly fell asleep, there by the sea shore.

Carrie sighed again, her tail patting a steady beat on the soft sand. She let the cooling wind rush through her fur. She stared into the ocean, watching the waves form and splash.
