Dream dropped her velvety black nose to the sky, lips parted as she intook the clear air. It tasted like a breeze was coming, and she also felt it down to her marrow. The alphess swiped her tail over alpha rock, jumping gracefully and landing with a light thud. She was quite small for an alphess, but the muscles were hidden beneath her long white fur that curled some-what at the ends. Her fur wasn't very long anyway, just longer than most wolves around this area. "Morning, everyone." She smiled softly in greeting, still anxious about the male and female near her territory. "Hm, we'll hunt this evening Tsunami. We have enough food for the day, plus I'm going to get a quick meal for anyone hungry," She said, eyes shifting from the lead hunter to the small kill pile. "I'll be right back. I'm going to hunt game, and then find those loners." Dream touched her nose to Void's shoulder to let him know she'd be fine, smiling in reassurance. The alphess stood with an arch-like swish of her tail, elegantly striding into the forest on nimble paws.

Gold eyes stared ruefully through the gaps of a bush, a fierce, predatory glimmer sparking off of the liquidy orbs. Though the world was otherwise peaceful, the birds chirping, river gurgling despite the cold, and wolves chatting at camp, the air was heavy with tension, like a cord stretched taunt. Slowly, the white head of a rabbit appeared. The fae rounded up into her arched hunter's crouch and struck, attacking the white rabbit at a startling speed.

A few cries of death hummed in her ears and she dispatched it quickly, known for not giving to much pain to prey. It was quite big, for the abundance was incredible here. With the kill in her powerful jaws, Dream trotted back to camp and dropped the kill in the ever-growing pile. Now that hunting was out of the way, it was time to meet the loner on her territory. Slowly, the alphess padded over to the scent, shoulders jutting with each silent step. Time seemed to freeze as she rounded the corner, skidding to a halt at the large grey brute and a skinny female, who had a taste of hope in her eyes. Though her stance was intimidating, her eyes were serene and open-minded. "Hello," She said, eyes narrowing in curiousity. "Do you have any business here? You are a bit to close to the border." Dream clarified, relatively calm. Her tone was firm, yet kind. She finds no reason to be rude at situations like these. When adressing her pack, she's fair, when adressing a loner, she's calm. It just isn't in the dame's nature to be rude without a reason.

Dream analyzed him quickly. He was quite attractive, but she never fell for anyone based on looks. Sure, it was a perk, but if you aren't what she's looking for personality-wise, good bye. An instant turn-off for her is arrogance. She can't stand it one bit, even for a proud alpha. The female was beautiful aswell, yet malnourished from lack of food. The white female is humble despite her rank, yet she can pride herself through the pack. As much as her father wanted her to be like him, Dream is the spitting image of her late mother. Same white fur, willowy build, and sweet persona. Moonlily's influence was far to strong on her and Void to become the demon Jagger was, and that's how their story began.

--

Void let out a soft yawn, shaking his head to wake himself. He woke early and barely slept due to his condition. He must have caught a kind off cold, which caused him to hack until his airway was free again. And of course, it would come back again and worse. The brute let out a throaty cough, which pained his lungs. He'd be okay in another day, as Dream told him, for he had taken the herbs needed to stop it. Everytime he breathed it came out hoarse, so he dipped his head to excuse himself for a moment. Ever Black Void trotted to the convenient river that ran through camp, dipping his muzzle in and taking a drink. It soothed his rough throat and he shut his eyes for a momen, icy rivulets streaming down his muzzle and onto his chest.

He shook his pelt free from the excess drips and trotted back to the little group, finding a seat next to his den. He smelled the two scents and ignored his sister. Ever since their father, he dislikes her going off like that without a guard. The pack would fall apart if she died. Void could never amount to her leadership. Then, with an inward groan, he remembered it was mating season. If he likes someone, they'll know. He finds himsef jittery and nervous, afraid to mess up. This also means he'll try to impress said fae in any current way possible. Like Dream, Void's eyes sparkle when he loves someone, which only happened once, and to a female that chose another male, then died due to a fatal hoof to the head not to long after. Since then, he'd been kind of iffy on love. Was it real, would it happen, stuff like that.

Void blinked his rich, forest green eyes and gained attention again. "Okay, since Dream's busy, I'll set up the morning duties. Would anyone like to check the borders with me? You can go off on your own if you'd like.'' Even thought not everyone was awake, he figured the pack would be fine without him.

Status; Hunter
Relationship; None
Family; None
Plans; Unsure
Location; With Tsunami, Ash, Dusket and Void
Emotion; Cold and tired
    Chenoa
A icy morning breeze fluttered through the dying trees, touching the highest pine needles and the over-growing roots in one quick swish. It enveloped the shivering birds and straddled the branches before looping down and into the darkness of one of the many dens, cradling a snow-white figure. With that gentle breeze two cerulean irises were revealed, the black pupils which they engulfed were swiftly contracting due to the seeping light. Winter always had a way of waking a wolf up. Nearly every morning, aside from those that were conflicted with the rolling, rain-filled clouds, the harsh sunlight would find its way into the dens far below, reaching out with long fingers to expand onto everything it could find. The Winter sunlight would warm the snow-covered land and melt the smallest icesicles. But with this beautiful brightness came an early start, for which you had to accept with "bright eyes" and a "bushy tail", as some would say. Chenoa attempted to do just that but it was harder than most thought.

Her cold paws pressed into the stone floor, bringing her muscles back out of their relaxed state, in order to bring her slender figure slowly upwards and into a comfortable, standing position. Two irises gazed about the stone den before fixating forwards, as her nostrils breathed in the scents of those she was rather familiar with. Although the concept, to 'man' and to other packs, of her pack-mates becoming her family, rather than her own family itself, was strange, it felt as though she had known some of these wolves her entire life. Dream was a powerful figure to her; a kind soul who never hid a secret from a single wolf in her pack and always knew the best route to choose. Void was slightly more reserved than the Alpha, but still kind to most. He has a strong soul and a large heart, but often loses his temper when his past is brought up. There were many other wolves she cared for and knew very well - Chaos, Dusket and Tsunami, and many others that hadn't yet been named.

In order to make sure she didn't blind herself, the female made her way slowly towards the entrance of her den. Her eyes would squint each time the pine trees would float with the breeze, causing that much more sunlight to flutter down against her pure-toned face. Once she had finally removed her final paw from the safety of her den, the demoness took in a large breath. "Winter," She mumbled, as she did nearly every morning in this terrifying season. Yes, it was a time to find the 'perfect' wolf for you, but that was a difficult task and along with it came a lack of food. Chenoa's white coat waved gently with the sweet-scented breeze and the birds sung their melodious songs above her head, their talons clinging to the branches so that they wouldn't become a meal. Her gaze lifted to watch the small, yet beautiful, creatures for a moment, her gray-tipped ears swiveling forwards to better hear them. There were many things that could become a wolf's prey that were beautiful, but they too had to survive. It was a twisted way of life, but natural to the wolves.

Chenoa shook her skull and continued lazily down the dying, yellow slope towards the sound of faint water - water was both the wolf's enemy and a way of survival, but now this water was freezing over. Ice was worse than water. One of the worst ways to die was drowning in the icy depths. Whenever the demoness would breath in a new scent would come to her - whether it be that of a female or male, she recognized almost all of them. Yet, before she could place the familiar face with the stronger scent that she smelled, a gentle howl came from behind her. The demoness craned her head around, shifting her body slightly, as her gaze focussed on the figure of her Alphess over a few yards away. Her ears perked and a growl came from her lips, a gentle, curious growl rather than one that could be associated with discontent.

When Dream traveled away from the pack members, Chenoa quietly made her way towards the others, standing a few feet behind Void. A shiver slid up her spine with the breeze, as she took in a large inhale of the fresh, freezing air. When she spoke a warm cloud of breath fogged through the icy air, "Morning."

    {I'll post for Chaos in a bit. ;u; I'm sorry if my post is choppy, too. Oh god, so tired. ;_; I messed up the seasons. Fixing! }

"Worthless! It's over now. Guilty! There's no way out."

Lily looks up upon hearing a melodic voice addressing her and Admiral. She was a self-concious fae, and the prescence of the beautiful white fae before made her feel all the more inferior and scrawny. She moved closer to Admiral, watching the other fae. "We were just wondering if you are looking for hunters in your pack?" She said quietly, but it ended in more of a question. Lily pulled her ears flat against her head, the wintery breeze pulling at her fur and making her cold. Not having fur as thick as other wolves may made the fae seem skinnier. Being skinny was part of her physicality but she hadn't had much to eat over the weeks. She knew deep in her heart there was something... different about this white fae before her.

Lily was warmed but Admiral as she stood next to him. He was always a warm brute. The unforgiving breeze still managed to find it's way around her shelter in Admiral and chill the fae to the bone. Her amber eyes were partly closed as all she wanted to do was sleep once again. "We didn't mean to come so close, but we didn't cross the border just in case you got upset." She explains quietly as a side note. She stayed agains the furs of Admiral though, taking mental refuge there. She didn't know how this fae would react. The fae could do what other alphas did... call them dirty scum and tell them to leave. But as mentioned earlier, Lily felt that this fae was different. That hope lingered in her amber eyes as she finds the courage to look the fae in the eyes.

"What a shame, what a shame to judge a life that you can't change.

Admiral's eyes had fixed on the snow white fae as she approached. Her whole stance suggested alpha. He felt the self concious form of Lily huddle further into his side and he turns his head to silently glance to the cold fae. He could tell she was cold, but she didn't shiver. Admiral then turned his gaze back on the alpha female. The fae spoke, then Lily replied. Admiral stayed silent until Lily finished her side note. "We don't mean harm. Please allow me to introduce us. I'm Admiral and this is Lily." He was going to tell her where they came from, but the fae didn't need a sob story. He had better judgement than to throw everything at some one at once... especially if you've just met them. Admiral watches the fae look over them, and almost growls for her almost judging glance.

The brute had become a close friend to Lily, and didn't like how wolves tended to judge her. She often proved them wrong, but in this state if one were to judge and she were given a rabbit, they would be assumed correct. He wondered how people would judge the pair upon entering the camp site. He wondered if the fae would even let them that far. He looked to Lily again, who appeared to be close to sleep. It seemed pretty apparent that the two were tired, so he didn't feel like being captain obvious today.

Finch
Nicknames:
None
Age:
Around two or three years
Gender:
Male
Rank:
Fighter

Image
Personality:
Finch is a sweet boy. He is kind-hearted and loves to give a helping hand. All he wants is to be everyone's friend. He's a jokester and will do just about anything for a laugh. He wants everyone to be happy. It's hard to be anything but when you're around this guy. Despite all this, his rank is a fighter (though he will do anything when asked.) This is because of his large size, fighting skills, and his sense of protection. He is very protective of his pack, his sister especially. All Finch really is is a big softie in a fluffy coat.
Description:
Finch on the larger side. He is mostly muscle but he looks twice as big because of his super fluffy coat, one of the traits he shares with his sister. At first glance, he looks quite intimidating, but you can easily tell that he's a sweetheart once you look into his face. His coat is very thick and wooly. It is the normal looking cream and gray wolf coat, but with an orange tint. He has large paws and small ears. He has bright amber-orange eyes.

Rosalyn & Finch
With: Finch
Feeling: Cold, sleepy

With: Rosalyn
Feeling: Content
Rank: Fighter

After sitting in his state of grogginess for several minutes, Finch finally lifted his head. He looked around his den, noticing the small drops of icy water dripping from the leaves above. To his left laid his sister, in a peaceful sleep. He wished to not wake her, but as he rose, he saw her pale hazel eyes open. "Good morning," Finch mumbled. Rosalyn made a noise in the back of her throat, wanting to go back to sleep. She knew that she couldn't. Most of the pack would already be up anyway. She sat up with a soft sigh and shivered as she felt cold water droplets that had been soaking through her fur finally reach her skin. She moved forward, stretching out her short front legs. Finch left their warm den, with Rosalyn following shortly after, though she longed to return to the comfort of the nest that she always slept in.

As Rosalyn had guessed, they were two of the last to wake. Rosalyn squinted at the morning sun as they reunited with the rest of the pack. "Good morning everyone," Finch barked, already in a good mood. He looked at the wolves around him: Void, Chenoa, Tsunami, Ash, and Dusket. Only a few members of the pack were missing, but Finch noted Dream in particular. He wasn't used to her not being here, as a wolf is lost without his alpha. Meanwhile, Rosalyn was standing at Finch's side, shivering. The cold air was easily penetrating through her fluffy fur. She knew she'd be much warmer once she got moving, but she was still wishing for winter to end. She was ready for spring: pup season. Rosalyn loved pups. They were so innocent. As Void spoke, both Rosalyn and Finch looked at the beta male, awaiting directions.

A soft, kind smile grew on the female's face. She could never turn anyone down, not like this. It was far to cold, and just beyond the border lay a nice warm pack with food. It would just taunt the hungry pair. She had been in this situation before, and would not wish it on anybody. "We could always use more." Dream swished her tail, half-turning to jerk her nose toward camp. "It's fine. Come, the pack has plenty food for the both of you, and a shield from the cold." The ivory she-wolf began to walk back the way she came, tail waving in dominant position. It was a natural habit, much needed in a large pack. "Nice to meet you Lily, Admiral. I'm Dream." She called over her shoulder, gold eyes flitting back to the trees in front of her. Though cold, the sun was still shining brilliantly upon them. It was enveloped with thin, whispy clouds, not a speck of blue sky to be seen. A gentle wind stirred her coat awake, and it flipped over the individual strands wildly.

Her paws, though hardened by years of work, run, and walk, were beginning to freeze. Dream would clean them when she finally had the time, but right now wasn't one of those rare moment she actually took care of herself. With a hungry pack to feed and guide, she was left with little time to think and sleep. It was always go, go, go. It wasn't like she could take the day off, then she'd leave everything to the wolves. She loved to accompany them on hunts, spar with the fighters, and all and all be with the pack. She was a very social wolf, always flitting about and making everyone feel welcome. This will never change.

Gradually, she snapped out of her thoughts, realizing she had slightly veered off path. She righted her angle and entered the main pack area, looking back at the two former loners. "Welcome to the Shining Moon Pack." Dream smiled, padding to the side so they could enter aswell. There was a flurry of wolves working, sitting, and most crowded around Void awaiting instruction. She waved her tail, a gesture for Admiral and Lily to follow, and trotted over. "Morning, everyone. We have two new recruits: Admiral and Lily." The alphess swished her tail, standing by her brother.

"Void did you give out the morning duties?" She asked, and the black beta male nodded. "Almost finished. You said you'd hunt today, right? You can send out the party right now if the hunters are ready. I'm going to patrol with the scouts, and the fighters can do whatever. Healers will gather.'' He concluded, forest green eyes peering up at her. His voice was undeniably raspy. "Thanks," Dream smiled, nudging her brother playfully and looking to everyone to make sure they knew what they woulkd be doing. "How's your cough?" She questioned, and Void shrugged. "Could be better, I'll see the healer again if I must..." he said gruffly, though it was nice to know she cared.

Lily follows the Alphess unto their territory. She heard of the hunters going on a trip and looks to Admiral. She then looks back to the wolves and Dream quietly. "Would you like Admiral and I to join the hunt?" She offers quietly, watching all the other wolves. Her amber eyes flickered to each of them then finally back to Dream. She wasn't sure whether that was a good idea or not yet, but she wanted to be helpful and she didn't want to seem like a weakling on her first day in the pack.

This pack seemed nice enough, but it also seemed tight-knit. She figured it would take a while to feel truly at home with these new faces. She had Admrial, and Dream seemed nice enough. If there was one thing she learned, it was the looks can be decieving. So, she came to this new pack with expectations of deception or being shut down. She wouldn't accept that, but she knew that anything is possible. Lily watches the others blankly, silent as she waits for a response.

"What a shame, what a shame to judge a life that you can't change.

Admiral had stayed close to Lily as they entered the pack. He knew that she would offer them up to hunt, but was still slightly appalled at the abruptness of the question. He didn't let it show though. He looks over each wolf, a silent assessment of their apparent demeanor. In other words, a black wolf, apparently named Void, stood proudly amongst the wolves, but not too proudly. A Beta or other high rank belongs to him. Admiral glanced over the other wolves before to Lily. She was looking around as well.

It seemed to be that their history hadn't gotten to this pack, and he hoped it wouldn't. He waits for a response, also noting how tight-knit the group seemed to be. He stayed close to Lily, not planning on being pushed around. He was going to be headstrong here, he could tell. He hoped his history wouldn't repeat itself. That would be his ticket out of here, if it did...

- The grey masked wolf what Dream go with a worried expression. He did not think that her going out on her own with such a great idea, anything could happen. But he had no right to tell her what to do so kept his mouth shut. She was a grown wolf and could handle herself. Besides, he had his own duties to deal with. Turning is heavy frame he looked up at Void. He gave a look that said he needed his duties, that he really was looking to Void to give him then. He waited patiently for the beta to give out the orders. But no sooner than he had started to wait then he was alarmed by approaching paws.
-Tsunami looked over at Dream as she stepped into their camp with two wolves following behind. A far who looked a tad bit friendlier then the brute accompanying her. His nose twitched at their strange smells, two of which he would have to learn to deal with. He watched as Dream introduced the two to the pack. In a hello manner he dipped his head, "Hello." He replied. He watched as Void talked and then mentioned pulling the hunt together. This-to his liking-was followed by the far offering up their services. But he was wary of it also, they didn't know these wolves and had no idea of their hunting styles. And.could they work well under his command? If they were too joined he hoped so. Turning to Dream he opened his mouth to speak. "I can pull the hunters together quickly if we need to assemble them." He told her surely. This pack had their fair share of obident and loyal hunters. Something he had a strong like for.

Ash looked the new wolves, Admiral and Lily, up and down. She was wary of them, not at all sure how to feel about them. They smelled funny, but she supposed she would just have to get used to it, she had probably smelled funny when she first joined too.

Ash snapped to attention when Void said healers. She would be gathering the herbs and other things she needed to -quote on quote- work her healing magic. "Yes sir." The healer said, mentally going through what she needed. The beta, Void, had a cough, so she might gather some extra red and white clover. The elderflower and violet (which were also good for coughs) had died along with Summer, while the red and white clover was still around.

Mentally continuing on her list, Ash thought of some common fall/winter illnesses. Poor appetite, colds, fever, flu, as well as others. She had what she needed for pretty much everything, but some she liked to stock up on per season. The remedies she had she kept in her den.

Standing idly around, she waited for everyone else to keep going.

{Dusket}

Dusket gazed at the new wolves. A brute, and a fae. They smelled strange, but he supposed their scent would change to better suit the pack. Standing a healthy distance away from them and the alpha-ess, Dusket took his position as alpha guard, ready to go pretty much where ever Dream went. Granted, he would do his own thing, but he had to keep an eye on her and their surroundings. Usually it was a pretty easy job, but you never know.

In most packs, his job would serve little purpose. The alpha should protect themselves. However, there was a bit of a superstition about a murderous wolf named Jagger. The superstition didn't scare him, but some of the pack members believed it. So, he had a nice, easy job, protecting the alpha-ess and beta. Void needed less "supervision" he figured, since the job was called alpha guard.

Bringing himself back from his thoughts, he heard Dream saying that she would go patrolling. Well, looks like that's what he would be doing too. The small pack lacked scouts, and it usually wasn't safe to go alone. Alpha guard or not, someone would be going with Dream.

"Ready?" Dusket asked, his low voice directed at Dream.
