Jayka lay on the sunbaked ground resting her chin on her paws, glowering at the world feeling the heat on her golden pelt.She shook her head, twisting it to lick her back. She watched the other lions on her pride, there were five in total. rRather small..
she thought, By thier scent Jayka guessed Mkali and Karami were in heat so that meant they would probaly leave to give birth to thier cubs and return a while later.Loki and her would have to do the hunting around here for some time..she thought. Well that least that meant that there was a chance that the pride would get some more lionesses if they were brave enough to deal with it they would stay. Well those lionesses were decent she thought, she wonderd what the cubs would be like.

~Kara~
Kara sat on one of the rocks, feeling the warmth of the sun on her back. The young white lioness was scouting the area for nomads. Her eyes narrowed as she thought about the one nomad that would die eventually, preferably at her claws. Assassin. The name alone sent shivers down Karami's spine. She would never forgive the nomad male for his crimes against the pride, particularly killing Alakai's cubs. Kara hated to see her friend and leader so distraught, and had taken a personal vow to avenge their deaths.

~Loki~
Loki watched Kara carefully, making sure that the older lioness did not step out of line. She knew that it was just the sort of thing that the white lioness would do to avenge Alakai's cubs. Loki hated Assassin just as much as Kara did, but would not go against her leader's orders and attack the male. She was smart enough to know that Assassin was strong enough to take her out should she attack him single-handedly. No, Kara. We'll wait for the perfect moment.

Through half closed eyes Jayka watched Kara, she was probaly scouting out for those pesky nomads. And by judging by the look in her eyes she was probaly searching for a certain one certain nomad. Without noticing a low growl emitted from throat, stinking Assaian she thought. She would have loved to feel his life ebb slowly under her claws. She shook her head as if trying to clear her head. She got up and sat next to Kara, feeling a little akward. She stared at the horision. She knew Kara would love to do the same as her..

[Dessy]

Melody sighed. Sariah was being her usuall bossy self, and was ordering her around like some sort of princess.
"Hey, stop that!" she snapped as Sariah started to push her sister down.
"But mum, I'm just showing her how to-"
"It doens't matter! Just lead by example," Melody said more gently.
Sariah let out an irritated sigh, then realized this was a challenge. She crouched down, showing her sister and instructing her how to place her paws. Her sister followed as best she could, and when she needed a little adjustment, Sariah would pull from the hunting crouch and gently move her sisters limbs. She found that this way her sister was more eager to listen and learn. This sucess excited Sariah, and when her sister started to get it right on her own, Sariah was about ready start bouncing everywhere.
"Mum! Mum!" Sariah called, running over towards where her mother sat perched ontop of a small hill. Her mother looked her way, and she smiled at Sariahs excited look.
"Yes?" she asked. She had a suspicion of what had gotten her all excited, but she made no hint of it. She wanted to hear Sariah tell her story.
"I did what you said and led Meena by example, and I taught her how to crouch!" Sariah said excitedly. Meena came up from behind them, smiling.
"Yup! Sariah was real gently and nice! Like you mum!" Meena chirped.
Melody smiled, decided to enjoy the peace while it lasted. Out on your own, you could never know who to trust. Your own pride mates could turn on you, or you could get hurt, or another feral could pick you off, or... Melody shook her head vociously, pushing the thoughts out of her head viciously. She couldnt think like that, she had to stay focused; for the safety of her cubs. Meena and Sariah's worried calls snapped her out of her thoughts completely.
"Mum?"
"Mum, what's wrong?"
"Mum!"
"Huh? Oh, yes, that's wonderfull Sariah. I'm glad you were able to learn Meena. Now, why don't you go teach her something else, Sariah!"
Meena and Sariah shared a worried glance, but their mother missed it.
"M'kay!" Sariah said excitedly.
"Yay!" Meena cheered.
The two cubs darted off, running back to where they were practicing earlier. Once out of earshot, Melody slumped a little bit. "If only I could keep you safe forever and from everything," she whispered to herself. She took one last glance at her two cubs, then went back survying the area for trouble.

Rascal
{ Male | 5 1/2 years | Dominant Male }

Rascal was lying in the tall grass, his head on his paws. His senses were alert for any noise, but there was only the sound of wind brushing through the grass. He looked up every once and a while to check and make sure there were no dangers trying to sneak up on him or his pride. He hated what the nomad lion had done to his pride. They couldn't even rest with being put on alert.

Alakai
{ Female | 4 1/2 years | Dominant Lioness }

Alakai was pacing in the grass, her tail rustling the grass it in lashed back and forth. Her ears were drawn back in agression. She didn't care what the other lionesses though about how she was reacting, but she didn't want their pitty. She knew they cared about her and that they honestly felt bad about them, and they naturally felt that way, but she didn't want them to think she was so broken about the loss of her cubs. Even if I am.

Assasin
{ Male | 2 years | Nomad }

Assasin was padding down a small slope nonchalantly. He plopped down beneath a tree, unaware of the hate that was directed at him. He looked over his shoulder, in the direction of the last pride he had seen, and he couldn't help but smile and evil grin.
