Takani watched Nicky chase Cass and tilt his head. ''Huh?"

Nicky, spotting Takani, slowed to a halt. "I don't know," she replied unsteadily. "There's obviously something wrong. WHy don't we try to help her?"

"I tried.'' Takani barked.

[Cheetari]

Sighing, Nicky laid down again in hopes that Cass would return to talk to them. She angled her ears in the direction of the thick forest for any sound of Cass returning.

Shard was watching from his patch of grass and saw Nicky and Takani fail to calm Cass down. He got up and started to race to where Cass disappeared, not knowing why he did it or what to say. He just hoped he could find her in time.

Nicky turned her head to watch Shard, then threw a quick glance at Takani.

As Shard entered the forest, he could feel the wind whistle in his ears and brush past his fur. He yelled, "Cass! Cass! Where are you?" Glancing between the trees, hoping for a glimpse of her.

cass saw him and said" what?"

Shard slid to a stop when he heard her. "Cass, I-" He broke off as he saw a large shadow moving behind Cass' back. His ears pricked up as he heard a low growl, his stomach turned with dread.
