Ribbon glanced at Xavier as they hid behind some bushes. "I think we should go for the elk herd.. They are larger and would keep the pack fed longer." Ribbon felt her stomach roar with hunger as she waited for Xaiver to respond. The elk were completely unexpecting of them.

[ᴄʜᴇʀɴᴏʙʏʟ]

Xaiver:
[Xaiver agreed with her common sense, his eyes training on the herd that had three cows; one of which seemed to be carrying a calf; and two bucks. One buck obviously took he role of leader while the other was too young and barely devoloping his antlers.]

Ribbon flicked her ears and nodded. "Ok then. I will go out first and try and scare the group toward you.. When they get closer you can jump out and attack.." Ribbon didn't wait for Xaiver to respond before she dashed out of the bushes and went striding toward the herd. She snapped her jaws and snarled at one of the cows. The cow shrieked and went stumbling back. The whole herd moved backwards and started stampeding in Xaiver's direction.

Whiskey gave an unsuccessful sigh and bounced over a large fallen log, in the distance he spotted an elk heard and he crinkled up his nose. What did he have to loose? The male sprung off the log and darted into the herd that were already on the move, he ducked under a buck and clipping a paw on it's hoof, he barrel rolled into a tree before quickly getting up and dashing back to the floored buck. It gave a few warning snots and tried to flip him with it's antlers, he felt like he was playing a crazy jumping game as he hopped over the bucks antlers for the third or fourth time. He couldn't kill it alone and he swore he saw a wolf amongst the herd, he shook away the thought and sprung over the antlers again.

A look of shock flashed on Ribbon's face. Who was this? She snarled. Whoever this brute was, he was ruining everything! She went chasing after the wolf to get him to stop messing up the herd. But as she was running, a large elk went stampeding toward her. She yelped with fear as she was hit hard in the head with a hoove. She felt the world spin and she fell to the ground.

[ᴄʜᴇʀɴᴏʙʏʟ]

Xaiver:
[Xaiver watched Ribbon disturb the herd, causing them to stumble and wildly run from the predator. He noticed another wolf bounce out of the shadows, attacking one of the bulls. He emerged from the bushes at a quick pace, the herd switching their direction. He saw Ribbon collapse to the ground after a elk had passed, growling angrily.] "Ribbon!" [He called out, sprinting towards her position. He pushed his nose against her muzzle.]

Ribbon could barely feel Xaiver nudge her. The pain in her head was too strong that she couldn't move. [WB]

[ᴄʜᴇʀɴᴏʙʏʟ]

Xaiver:
[Xaiver was no healer, he had never seen or had an injury to the skull. A tight knot grew in his stomach, his gnawing appetite disappeared.] "It's okay Ribbon," [He gave a comforting nuzzle to her chin.] "I'll get you back to the dens." [He looked around at the bare meadows; only the other canine and the bull elk still viciously fighting for his life. He bit onto the scruff of fur on the back of Ribbon's neck, which was used often by mother's to carry their pups around, and started to drag her along. Luckily the camp wasn't far off so it wouldn't take long.]

Whiskey turned his head to the two wolves and was clipped by the buck's antlers, he lay sprawled on the floor and gave a hearty sigh as the buck jumped up and scampered off, Whiskey felt bad and rose instantly onto all fours padding over to the pair, "Y-you need help?" he asked, pinning back his ears and giving his jaw a testing roll.

Ribbon's limp body went dragging across the ground as Xaiver tried his best to carry her back to the camp. Dirt and grass collected in her clean white pelt. Her vision was getting dimmer and darker.
