A smile came onto the tod's muzzle and Carmen asked if he would teach her. He was starting to become quite fond of this vixen and much more willing to do anything for her. It was still a little odd for him to be acting this way but he didn't think to much of it for the time being. "Sure. Of course. If that's what you'd like to do then I don't see why I shouldn't."

Surprise overcame Apollo as Carmen had pinned him to the ground. Was he really dreaming all this or had it really been happening before his very eyes? It took the tod a moment to gather himself once more after the vixen's action. He smiled to her, seeing his acceptance had pleased Carmen. "Oh you're very welcome. First have you had any experience in hunting or have you never killed something before."

Apollo gave a chuckle and returned to his paws, shaking his pelt free of any debris and dirt. "I believe that your interest in butterfly chasing is a good start. It means you do have a prey drive but you just have to put that into something else that is tastier." The tod's eyes scanned around before he placed his nose to the ground and looked back to Carmen. "Try tracking. You might just be surprised what your nose can pick up on from just the smallest of scents."

The decision to let Carmen do the work came to Apollo's mind as she did need to learn to hunt with her own senses. Besides he also needed to see just what he could help her with to make her hunts much more successful.

Apollo watched the vixen as she started to track down something. His ears perked up when he heard Carmen mention her finding of a mouse scent and he gave her a smile followed by a nod of his head. "That's perfect. Now you've picked a target keep tracking it down but this time listen for any little sounds of it making vocal noises or moving around in the grass. I'll follow you and continue to give pointers on how to hunt, so don't worry. You won't be alone."
