Apollo wasn't happy that he had to get his paws wet and frowned showing his mood about the water situation. "Not at all. Water and I never did get along and never will, so swimming around in that isn't likely for me." He walked up to the rock the vixen sat on and sat down beside it, licking his paws dry the best he could.

Apollo jumped onto the rock and licked Carmen's nose before opening his maw to speak. "I bet you're getting tired. Come on, you don't have to sleep out here. If you'd like you can come join me back at the den so you don't have to worry about getting cold or something sneaking up on you." He gave a smile and wagged his tail slightly, wondering what the vixen would say to the offering.
