Kaala smiled back slightly and began walking through the field towards the line of bushes where, behind, there was a small stream. Rat was standing on the opposite side to the tstrange dog, his tail tucked firmly between his legs.

So rested he by the Tumtum tree,
And stood awhile in thought.
And, as in uffish thought he stood,
The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame,
Came whiffling through the tulgey wood,
And burbled as it came!
