Nightshade nodded. "I'm going back to camp, but I won't tell the alphas. Just stay out of trouble and out of sight." she said. She trotted back to camp.

Kiya nodded, still quiet as she kept her gaze on the ground, as the wind blew around them, ruffling her fur.

Maverick watched the two faes bicker in front of him, and he knew better than to get in the middle of the two, especially with Nightshade's temper. When Nightshade left, she uttered words that gave the brute relief- she wouldn't tell the alphas they were here. Maverick nodded his head to bid her farewell before walking slowly up to Kiya, wondering if Nightshade had uttered something to the newcomer that made her speechless again. ''Err.. you okay? You seem bothered.'' he lowly spoke, now sitting down beside her. He lowered his head and glanced at her face, wondering if her expression would give away any insight of how she was feeling.

Kiya's head snapped up, as she looked at Maverick." Huh?" She asked lightly. Shaking her head lightly, she stood, shaking her snowy-pelt, her ice-blue eyes going back to their normal look. " I'm fine." She said lightly.

''Liar. Now tell me what's up.'' the brute insisted, outstretching his leg in front of her path so she wouldn't walk off again. Maverick flicked his tail loudly and his ears alerted to a sound in the forest, it was a rustling of a big animal for sure- probably a deer or something, so the brute wasn't concerned. He turned his attention back to Kiya. ''Well...???''

Kiya didn't know why Maverick was persistant in getting her to open up, to talk more, after the scene with the other fae, made her remember what her old pack always done. Odered her to be mute. Shaking her head, she looked at him. "I don't have to explain myself, not when it's not a good thing to bring up, even when it's the reason, why i'm always mute." She snapped,a low growl erupted in her throat. Then it dawned on her on what she said, eyes widening, she shook herself." I'm sorry," she said quickly,before turning and walking back to the lake area.

Maverick's ears perked alertly at the mention of the reason she was mute. Maverick followed after her. ''Alright..well you don't have to tell me if you don't want to. I'm just making sure you're okay.'' He huffed and sat down, watching her walk away. ''You need to stop running off.. We're in pack territory, and if you come across a member, you don't want to be alone. Trust me.'' he added, switching his gaze to look at some trees.

Kiya sighed as she stopped, knowing there was no use in running from it. She sat down, her ears flattening against her head."It was my old pack. They ordered be to be mute." She said lightly, her voice barely a whisper. A light tear rolled down her face, shaking her head, she gathered herself, as she tried to push back the old memories but they slammed right into her mind.

Maverick walked slowly to her, feeling a little bit of sympathy for her. He had to lean in closely to hear her speak- she was that quiet. Maverick could hardly believe his ears so his only response was nodding. He sighed. ''This is why I don't like packs.'' Maverick growled, angry for a moment.
