The Wild.
It's an amazing place. The savannah you live on is filled with wonders and beauty, yet at the same time is challenging, dangerous, and frightening. Nothing ever stays the same; nothing is permanent. Everything changes eventually. It may not be a big change, true. It may only be a small change, like a road being built by a river you love to swim in. It might be a bigger change, like a town being built over a hunting ground you used to frequent with your pride.
You are a wild lion. When you were young your pride wandered all over this land, happy and just glad to be alive. It was hard at times, but everything always turned out all right for you in the end. A while ago, though, humans started constructing their massive metal dens in the places where your old pride used to hunt. They didn't have enough food to feed everyone and the whole group was about to descend into chaos. By this time you were grown enough to survive on your own. The king of your pride knew this and decided to kick you out rather than have his lionesses and young cubs starve. You ran far away, trying to escape the humans and all of the hostile and hungry prides. You finally succeeded when you found this valley.
This valley is a lush and beautiful place untouched by man. It is mostly empty for now, but you can smell the scents of other lions here. You hope that you can find them and start a pride--maybe one day even rule this section of the savannah. It will be very hard work, and you may not even succeed, but one day it will be worth it. You promise to yourself that you WILL try.

3. As the owner of this RP, you must listen to me.
4. No unusual colors or powers or anything like that. This is a realistic RP.
5. Do not be a jerkwad. Be nice to everyone.
6. Star out any cussing.
7. Do not describe birth or mating in detail. Fade to black.
8. Do not describe violence too graphically. This is a family-friendly site.
9. Each pride only has one adult male in it--the pride king.
10. There are no real mates in lion society. Lionesses mate with the king, period. However, don't think this doesn't mean your lioness can't like one male better than another or anything like that. Heck, it adds more to the story.
11. Yes, you can make your own prides.
12. Males start prides and their players get to name the pride.
13. There should be fewer males than females.
14. The King of each pride may choose a queen who serves as his closest confidante and adviser. She gets special treatment and leads the pride when he's busy. After all, she's the king's favorite.
15. You cannot start out as the queen of a pride.

Personality: Roman is all work and little play. He prides himself on being a good leader and a great warrior. He was very angry when he was banished from his old pride by his father, and vows to do a better job than he did. He does care about his lionesses, but is not one to lavish affection on them. He is very formal and stoic when speaking to others. The only way to really see emotion from him is if you are very, very close to him.

Personality: Tantric is as independent and free as they get. She prides herself on her hunting ability, though she is rather bad at fighting. She loves that she can survive well enough for herself on her own and feels that she will be a bit disappointed when she finally does have to be in a pride. It's hard to impress her. She is very loyal once she's attached to you, though, and if you make her your friend she will stand by your side always.
