Echo was in the trailer, starting to wake up from the sedative. He then realized Adam was still at the hospital. That stupid Jack had taken him away!

Adam woke up in the morning, feeling a bit more awake since his system had washed out the anesthesia. "Kelly?" he asked, his voice gaining strength and stretching. His legs remained still in the bed, and it was only his top half moving.

Zelda was in the breeding stall with Midnight. Nothing had happened yet, but she wanted to talk with this stallion before anything did happen. She flicked her tail, walking around the stallion in circles slowly, examining him.

Adam stretched his arms. He had forgotten about being paralyzed from the waist down. He used the hospital room phone to order some breakfast, pretending that it was for himself, but in reality he saved it all for Kelly. Once the food arrived, he pretended to set himself up to eat it while the nurse was there, but once the nurse left the room, Adam said gently, "Kelly, I've got breakfast for you"
