Argene kept the herd going for a long while. The fire faded away until it was a distant memory and they were just galloping through fields and trees for the freedom of it. When the herd had reached the top of a sloping, grassy hill, she slowed down and stopped, her grey body drenched in sweat and her sides heaving in exhaustion. They could see an incredibly long distance from the top of this hill, and the small speck of smoke that was the fire cowered on the horizon. "We're safe here," she huffed. Now all we have to do is wait and hope that Echo finds Jayde and gets here safely...

Rebekka looked slightly surprised but smiled. "I would love to " she said. When she heard Phantom and scented her she turned round to the mare, her smile fell as she grew confused but then realisation sunk in and she understood. "If that's your decision then no one will stop you" she said to Phantom.

Rebekka looked slightly surprised but smiled. "I would love to " she said. When she heard Phantom and scented her she turned round to the mare, her smile fell as she grew confused but then realisation sunk in and she understood. "If that's your decision then no one will stop you" she said to Phantom.

Voltaire smiled, "So your in?" He shook his head, ridding it of the pesky flies that crowded his eyes. He saw Phantom was leaving, he took a step forward. "Where are you going? Why are you leaving? I thought you joined the herd?" He didnt understand this mare. He flicks his tail, male hormones kicking in a little. He lowered his head about an inch and continued flicking his tail briskly back and forth.

[BIGBANGisVIP]

"Really I'll just um get in the way..really..." She took another step back. But this time she almost fell over a rock. "Oh um sorry..Bye." She turned and galloped off awkwardly.

Rebekka lowered her head and sighed heavily. She swished her tail sadly, feeling guilty now. She glanced up at Volt, wondering what he would think.

I run and run through the flaming forest. i was determined to get back to the herd. but the only thing stronger than my determination was fear. the fire crackled and sent sparks flying. i wondered if the fire would ever burn out. if it didn't, then soon our whole meadow would be destroyed and eventually, so would we. my feet hurt, my mane and tail were burnt, and my back ached. i soon saw light ahead. i new it was the way out. i ran and ran.i was almost there.then all of a sudden a big branch fell on top of me, and i was stuck underneath. if i moved, the branch got heavier. the fire was only a few feet from me now. i waited. waited to live, waited to die. waited for an solution that would never come. i whinnied and whinnied, hoping for someone to hear. but no one did. i knew that moment, i had no hope.

Voltaire watched her gallop off, flicking his tail once. "Okay...Bye then..." his voice fades. He turns his attention to Rebekka, his soft nose against her neck. "At least I still got you," a smile upon his large equine face. He flicked his tail against Rebekka's flank, gliding it gentle across her back. He nudged her shoulder while he spoke, "Lets go down there, maybe graze for awhile."
