I fought the creatures, knowing we could and would beat them. I rear at one of them, stomping the ground. but it doesn't back down. it comes closer, then it leaps into the air, grabbing hold of my neck. I neigh, and rear, and buck, but it was holding on tight, clenching it's teeth. while it was holding on to my neck, it was clawing the side of my chest, trying to get a better grip. Suddenly, i started to get dizzy, and my head spun. then all I remember was me falling, and hearing a whimper as the creature was slammed against the ground.

The creature in front of Argene lurched forward and snarled as it came towards her, but Argene reared and smacked a hoof into the side of its head, sending it to the ground with a groan. It didn't look like it was getting up, and she snorted loudly. Just as shewas turning to attack another beast, she heard a thump and spun around to see Echo hitting the ground, trapping a beast underneath him. Her heart leaped as she realised he was bleeding a lot from his neck and chest, and she let out a shrill neigh that grabbed the attention of the rest of the creatures that Echo hadn't gotten to. She raced over to Echo, ignoring the moaning creature under him, and cried out. "Echo! Echo, wake up! Echo, are you all right?!" She skittered around him, then spun as a creature attacked her, lashing out and hitting it square in the chest and head as it jumped. She felt a pang of heat and anger swell inside her as she lashed out at another beast, protecting Echo's limp body.

Burns smiled at her, "That's good then." He said smiling, his additude being affected by the mare. He started walking though. He yawned and looked at the river and saw a spot where there was a perfect sleeping spot. Also, grass was there to graze. He walked towards it and grabbed a huge mouthful f grass and lied down in a good sleeping place.

Faraway started walking out of the cave, motioning Pie to follow and listen to the story while walking. He stopped to wait.(WB)

Pie nodded and trotted after him quickly.

I could hear something. Someone. Growling. Whinnying. I opened my eyes. It was the sight someone hopes will never come. The sight of Death, the sight of Pain.

I suddenly get up, and start rearing and snorting, trying to warn Argene. I feared she would get hurt.

Burns watched her and a smile crept onto his muzzle, "Night, Fallen."(I just realized, that is my dads filly's name(took me long enough)) He lied his head down and watched the mare, as if she was his, he flicked his ears, knowing they were waiting for him to sleep to come out and attack, he gave a snort and kept himself up.

Faraway started walking when she caught up, "It started back when we were colts, bring born from the same herd, we were always thought to be fighting when we grew older, for the title of leader.
There was another colt, who was older than the two of us, he was cruel, about then, Bersties mother was lead mare, and his father was lead stallion, so all of the mares swooned over him, me being the shadow man, the only friend of him. We were threatened by the colt, after he fought Bersties father, managing to kill him. He grew larger than Bersties, but not I, so we took the challenge. Eventually, the two of us ran him away, and he took the mares and their foals with him, soon after, me and Bersties promised to be friends and have a herd, he would be leader, and I would be second leader, able to have most of the same powers as he would."
Finishing the story, they had reached the lake, he walked out and went into the lake to knee high, he dropped his muzzle into the cool water and took a long drink. He lifted his muzzle and he looked at her, water fell from his muzzle, "The details in the story doesn't really matter, so I took them out." He knew he was lying, which he was good at, and it was impossible to read through it now, so he looked out on the lake.
