Max looked across for Trixi but didnt see her. He sighed asnd fell asleep.

Moxie looked up at the sky, it was a colorful whirl of red and orange and pink.

Fred looked around with awe.

Trixi let out one last meow and fell asleep.

"Wow....." Mason said.

Moxie nodded and looked at him, her eyes reflected the sky.

Max woke up the next day and looked around him. All the other cats were awake and tenser than usual. He looked up and saw the black cat staring at him again. " What an odd cat you are." He said lightly but full of darkness. He smiled and blinked his eyes. Max hissed. The cat chuckled. " A fighter to. Wow you are not going to be a resident in here long. Once they come to get you, you never come out." He said darkly. Max smirked, who are THEY.

The brown She-cat next to him gasped. " The men in orange of course! They take you into a room and all you hear is the sound of a yowl and then silence! They end cats! You should be careful around them. The fighters usually go first." She said in a high girly voice. She smiled a little and blushed. " Of course you being so cute I doubt they would kill you." Max hissed at her. She giggled and turned away. The black cat on top of him spoke up again.

"What Vixi is trying to say is that cats like you die the first couple of days. Of course that other cat you came with, she is a beauty and will be adopted fast." He said and looked at Trixi. Max lunged at him through the bars. There were many so the cats could reach each other. He fell to the ground. The black cat laughed, " Im Shadow, I basicly rule these cats. He said looking at the cats next to him.

" Im Vixi, I was just like you once, but once I got here they sucked all the badness out of me." She giggled and purred. Shadow rolled his eyes and Vixi shot him a look. he got the message and looked at Max, " Thats Fiona,The cat under you. the mother of the kits. She doesnt talk much and is always taking care of her kittens." Shadow said, his voice full of hatred.

" My names Pearl." The cat to max's left said, Her voice was crunchy and old. she got up and was only skin and bones. " My people literally fed me to a pack of dogs. If got out alive but almost dead before the green people took me here." She said. Max noticed all the scars and half her ear missing. she scowled at him. Shadow and Vixi laughed, " The green people are idiots and dont know whats the difference between real cats and street cats." he hissed. Max Stared at him, " You had owners?" Shadow smirked and Vixi giggled.

" Yea I had me a couple of nice people. They gave me bathes when I wanted them and fed me. But let me do as I pleased. I went outside in the garden one day and was snatched from my nice life and shipped here." Shadow frowned. " I have been here three years and my owners never came lookin for me, not once." Vixi whimpered and brushed against Max's fur through the cage.

" Well my story wasnt like that. I was beaten and abused. Forced to fight. My Owners thought it was funny. The green people came and took me away without even askin. But I was glas to get out of there alive." She frowned but then giggled.

Trixi just woke up. She stretched and yawned.

Shadow looked at Trixi. " I hope she gets into the breeding program so we can be mates." he said slyly.

"Yea." Vixi said looking at Max with dreamy eyes. Pearl snorted. " They always do it according to what cats seem to like each other."

Shadow looked at peal and eyed Trixi.

Trixi sqeezed through the bars and fell. Thankfully, she landed on her feet. "Hi."

Shadow stuck his paw through and triggered the lock. The cage opened and he jumped down. " Hello." He said and smiled, and shot a look at max. Vixi slipped through her bars and pressed against max.
