Saiyana circled around in the bed of the abandoned truck several times before finally plopping down. Her tail thumped against the hard surface as the delectable scent of the hot dog swirled up into her nose. Finally, she could enjoy this meal in peace. The fae took a small bite of the hot dog, wanting to savor it as much as she could. Her tail wagged even harder, she had not tasted something this good since, well, she didn't even know when. Even while she was enjoying her hot dog, her eyes were always searching around, making sure no one was trying to sneak up with her and try to take her food away.

Slade watched as she tore the bag open and began to eat the crust, leftover from a sandwich. He then watched the small waves lap against the shore, and the small fish darting around in the water. Their silvery skin reflecting the sun light, making them easy to spot. Slade's attention was pulled back to the fae as she thanked him and began to speak again. "No problem sweetheart. It's very nice to meet you Rain. And you shouldn't have to stay in the shadows, not every dog around here wants to pick a fight with everyone they see. And even if you do run into one of them, you surely could outrun them. You look like a fast runner, faster than me for sure." He stood up from his sitting position and shook himself out, sending tiny pieces of sand falling to the ground. "So where you heading now sweets? You got a place to stay? Or do you just find a different place to sleep each night?"

Morning Rain pressed her paws into the wet sand, cooling them down from the long walks and short runs she did today. "Not while I am in this state. I barely got away from the male dog and his son earlier." the small female huffed, unhappy to have been chased off because she took a short rest in an alley way. Even if she was a good runner, she can barely run while she is starving. "I usually try to find a spot to sleep, I haven't found a good one in awhile." She spoke quietly, her tail slightly wagging, happy to have something in her stomach. She looked down at the water, watching the fish. She extended a paw into the water and wagged her tail a bit more. Water always cooled her paws down, and was always fun and relaxing to swim in when she had the energy. Straightening her ears, she looked back up, not wanting to seem rude. Morning Rain didn't want to lose her tail becuase she was looking at the fish for awhile.

Kai woke in her makeshift den in the forest. The floor was covered in moss. It made a perfect sleeping mat. She padded outmod it and lapped some water in a nearby puddle.

She woke with a start,panting because the metal roof had become extremely hot.She looked over the edge and saw the coyotes were gone,so she leaped hesitantly from the roof to the ground,stumbling and almost falling because of her wounded leg.She looked around,her tongue standing out against her pitch black coat.She saw other dogs and a rumble like growl rose from her throat.She sat down and started thinking of the dangers of being a loner in this town.She knew that if she wanted the best chance of survival she would have to start a pack,something that would be extremely difficult for her.She approached a fae (Kai) silently

My ears twitched when he didn't lash back at me. I lowered my tail and eased my stance, taking in the luxurious smell the the hamburger. "What's the catch? No dog in their right mind would share food," I stated, quite surprised at the gesture. It was probably bait. once I grabbed the food, the dog would attack me for sheer fun. No, I should just run...

The brute couldn't help but laugh again. "No catch sweetheart, if i wanted to fight, i would've killed you by now" he said with a shrug. "I believe at least some of us strays gotta stick together." he chuckled before tilting his head with a smile.

Her scarred,torn black velvety ears twitched as she watched the fae quietly,then backing away on soft paws and returning to her hut."Dang coyotes" she muttered angrily,her den destroyed.She smelled them all around and felt a growl rise into her throat,a growl that devoloped into a menacing snarl.She let it continue for a few moments before leaving,promising never to return again to this place.

S t o r y :: it started on a warm thanksgiving, the 'family' setting up a perfect feast for their relatives and friends. it looked so good i had to grab one bite. little did i know that was not for me, they screamed at me and threw me out the door. screaming crude things out after. i walked over the curb, running out of terrifying feelings as she chased me with a broom and i dashed off out of sight. now i'm eating trash, and sleeping in dark alley's, hopefully the pound will never catch me.
