ღ Saiyana ღ
The pale green, yet stunning eyes, of a stray peered at the street. Glancing at cars as they zipped by, trying to judge when the time would be best to make a mad dash across. Saiyana's ears were perked up, each ear swiveled in the opposite direction. Listening for the vibrations of cars making their way down the road. Only when she didn't see, or hear any cars, would she sprint across the street. She didn't want to tragically end up like her mother. Saiyana's eyes darted both ways and her ears swiveled and turned, searching for the sound of a car. "And the coast is clear." She thought to herself before zipping across the road. Only when all four paws were on the opposite sidewalk from where she started would she slow her pace down a notch. Saiyana slowed down to a steady trot and headed to a trash can that had been in her sight for awhile, she could smell the food inside from far away. Her jet black nose was twitching frantically as she approached it, sorting out different scents of the inside contents. Saiyana hopped up and placed her front legs on the rim of the can, craning her neck to get a look inside. "Humans..so wasteful.." She thought as she could see all the food and trash piled up. She quickly scanned over all the food before just locking her jaws on a hot dog, with only a bite taken out of it. It was getting pretty late out, and you didn't want to be on the streets when it was dark out. Saiyana let her front paws slip off the trash can and fall to the ground before quickly turning around and looking for a good place to eat her meal.
✘ Slade ✘
Slade trotted down the sidewalk, his head and tail held high. He twisted and wound through crowds of people as he moved down the sidewalk. His nose was always twitching and his ice blue eyes were always flickering around, searching for the possible crumb of food. He had been wandering for about 30 minutes now, and still nothing. He hadn't eaten since yesterday, and he was getting pretty hungry. The brute took a right turn, switching directions and heading towards the beach. It was pretty easy to get a small meal there, people had a habit of bringing food and leaving it right by their towels while they went to go and swim. Slade glanced up at the sky and quickened his pace to a jog, seeing the sun high in the sky. A lot of people would be at the beach at this time, it would be quite simple to snatch a quick and small people. The male husky darted across the street but let out an extra burst of speed as a car honked loudly at him. Just a block or two more, then he would be at the beach. It was a relatively warm day, hopefully there would still be enough people there to supply him with a decent meal. At least enough to hold him over until tomorrow. He turned one more corner, the beach was in sight now. Slade licked his lips as he stepped onto the sand. There was still quite a few towels laying out on the sand, and he didn't take any time making his way towards the closest one. He lowered his muzzle and sniffed the sand and bag around the towel, there was a slight hint of chips, they must be in the bag. The brute pushed the bag over and nosed through the bag quickly. He couldn't take his time, or the owners of the bag could see him. Stealing from humans is like an art. Slade found a small bag of chips with a few remaining morsels in it. He tugged the bag out and scattered them across the sand before quickly eating them and moving onto the next set of towels.
