Von sighed "No, Ballad isn't bad." He assured the pup. "Ryder you have to understand, Shonri, he isn't like other youngster. He never had much of a puphood. He doesn't know how to play like other pups and his idea of fun is looking for a fight or training. I am the one to blame for that. Shonri is not use to wolves who are suppose to be adults acting like children. The reason he dislikes Ballad is because Ballad got involved in Shonri's fight. To my son that is like saying you are better than he is and he is worthless." He explained. "Do you understand?" he asked the small pup.

Ballad looked over when he heard the pup and his father, he watched silently before turning away and to make sure that Shorni was okay. He smelt the pup near Ryder and Von though, so he didn't bug them, it seemed he had done that enough already. He knew he was not to bright, but he tried to be a good wolf, he tried to keep them safe. He smelt a small group of deer and began staking them silently, searching for them. When he saw the herd he headed after the weakest one, he jumped onto it, causing it to collapse. He killed it with a bite to the throat and he began dragging it back to where the pack stayed.

Silently Shonri walked out onto the log and set the rabbit down beside Ryder. His ears were back and he avoided eye contact with either of them right now. He jumped off the log and set out again. Sighing he followed Ballad's sent. For Ryder's sake and for his father he would try to make things work. He saw Ballad ahead and blocked his pack "We need to talk." he said simply before walking away from the camp. He did not like others hearing what he had to say unless it was addressed to them.

Ballad dropped the deer so the others could eat, he silently followed Shorni, studying the puppy, wondering what he wanted. He sniffed the air as he padded through the woods behind the little wolf. He wasn't sure what he would do now, he didn't seem to belong here either, and he was hoping he would have.

Shonri stopped walking with his back to Ballad and sat down. "Do you understand why I am the way I am?" he asked "Why I act aggressively towards you?" he asked not really expecting an answer. "I do not hate you Ballad. However I am not use to those who can be so care free and act like a child. You do not seem to have a care in the world." Shonri looked to the sky "I was never like that. Not even when I was Ryder's age. I have always been solitary and prefer to do things on my own. That is why it made me angry when you interfered in my fight. In doing so it is like saying that I am worthless." He turned and looked at Ballad "You know what it is like to be seen that way." He said knowingly. He saw how Ballad acting and seemed to be eager to please. "Do you understand what I am saying?" he asked simply as though he were an adult himself.

Ballad nodded, "But you still can act like a puppy sometimes." he said softly to him, "I didn't mean to make you feel worthless, I just didn't want you to get killed." He sighed softly as he looked at the sky also, "I know I act like a foolish puppy, but that is because I don't want everyone worried all the time, if I act like a puppy, maybe they will relax too. I just want others happy." he said softly, "I just want a safe pack and a family." he said softly.

Shonri sighed "I am not use to being looked after. Nor do I like it. I do not like your alpha blackmailing me to treat my wounds and trying to make me take things that I am not suppose to take. I am not the kind who is meant to be in a pack. However it seems that for now I do not have a choice." He turned and looked at Ballad "For Ryder's sake, I will try to pull back and not be as cold. I would appreciate it if you did not treat me like a child. I am only a pup in appearance and nothing else." He said simply. "Also, I do not have the patients to learn how to be a pup." He said quietly.

"You don't have to learn, you already know, somewhere is there." Ballad said softly. "But I won't bother you anymore, I know I can be very annoying." he said with a soft sigh. He watched the sky as he thought of his old pack, which he tried not too, he tried to be happy and smiling, and goofy all the time so no one would worry about him.

"Remembering the past is not always a bad thing you know." Shonri said as he started walking again "It keeps you sharp and reminds you who you can and can not trust as well as reminding you who will br there when you need them and who will betray you." he added before walking on.

Ballad watched the pup and shook his head, Shorni was a pup, not much of a past there. He stood and watched him, torn between following him or going back to camp. With a sigh he followed after Shorni silently, his eyes scanning the woods as he did so.
