Ryder yelps and shoots up from the ground when he hears a snarl. He stands in front of Ballad, shouting, "Hey! Leave him alone! It was an accident he lost sight of us earlier! Give him some slack!" He narrowed his eyes slightly, thinking sadly, All I wanted to do was get a darn bunny.

Ballad looked at Shorni, he was silent as he looked at the puppy, studying him, "You will never be able to hunt well with that temper, especially not deer." he said softly as he looked at the little one, "Now I thought we were going to hunt rabbits?" he said as he watched.

Shonri looked at Ryder "That is not what I am irritated about and he knows it." Shonri stated as he looked at Ballad "Bark all you want. You have your tactics and I have mine. I do not normally have a temper unless I am dealing with immature, arrogant, cocky, good for nothing whelps." he said in a perfectly calm and even tone. "Just because my father agreed to be in your pack does not mean that I am. To be perfectly honest I do not know why you insist on following me around like some lost whelp. I am not of your pack and as what happened earlier showed I do not need ''your'' help." He said coldly "I am also willing to bet that you have lost your fair share of rabbits wile chasing after them like some hair brained idiot. So if you want to teach him to hunt in that manor be my guest. Just because I do not yet hunt deer, elk, or moose does not mean that I don't know a thing or two about hunting rabbit or catching fish. At least I do not have to rely on others to find my food for me or rely on a pack to protect my." He said before turning his back on the male "Ryder, I think it would be best if you just follow that uncoordinated dog back to your mother. I am not in the mood to teach anyone anything right now." He stated as he walked off.

By the time Shonri had told Ryder to go back to his mother, it was all but a whisper in Ryder's ears. He was already fleeing the area, frightened by the sudden words Shonri had said. He knew Shonri wasn't calling Ryder a whelp, but he took it the wrong way. Ryder tried to clear a log that was in his way by jumping over it, but tripped, and fell face-first into the mud. Heart beating rapidly, Ryder hoped they could find him behind the log; after all, nowhis scent wasn't the strongest, he was coated with mud, and hidden. He tried to yowl for help, but nothing came.

Ballad shook his head as he looked at Shorni, he took off after Ryder, sniffing the pups trail to the log. "Ryder?" Ballad barked when he lost the scent at a log. he looked around for the young pup worriedly.

Ryder tried to howl and call out that he was right there, if you cared enough to actually look you'd see him. But instead Ryder yelped, but it wasn't even a yelp. It was so soft and mangled it sounded even foreign to himself. "Help," he said, but he wasn't sure if Ballad could see him or not.

Shonri sighed as he got farther away from those who infuriated him. After a bit he saw rabbit tracks in the mud and they were fresh. He followed the tracks and found their den. He saw the tracks coming from another opening in the bushed near by. Shonri smiled as he picked up a large peace of wood and placed over the exit. He then went back to the first hold and laid in the shadows only about a foot from the entrance. He waited and after a while he saw a rabbit's nose pop out of the hole and sniff the air. It brought it's head out and looked around but could not see Shonri at all. He came out of the hole and scratched his ear before he felt a sharp pain in his neck and blood flowed out of the wounds caused by the young wolf's fangs. He tried to kick and get away but he could not from the position Shonri had him in. He soon laid limp in Shonri's jaws and the young wolf walked to the exit he had covered and moved the wood before reluctantly starting back. He wanted to talk to Ryder and apologize for how he acted though he wold not apologize to Ballad if his life depended on it.

Von's ears twitched as he heart a light thud. He looked at his sister. "We will catch up later." He said as he walked off threw the forest and found a muddy ball of fur curled behind a log. "Ryder, what is wrong?" Ha asked as he nuzzled the small pup gently.

Ryder looked up slowly, tears making some of the mud on his cheeks wash away. He shrugged, and slowly stood, but there was a sharp pain in his paw as he did so. "Nothing," he says, before sniffling. But as he looked up at Von, he burst into tears, saying between sobs, "Things got rough between the two of them and... and... I didn't like it!"

Von picked the pup up and set him on to of the log after he whipped the mud off it with his tail. "Rough between who?" Von asked as he cleaned the mud from his fur. He had a hunch that his son was involved.

Shonri wadded into the river and walked out with the rabbit still clenched tightly in his powerful young jaws. He followed Ryder's paw prints in the mud. He heard both Ryder and his father talking. So he lowered himself in the shadows and listened. He hear Ryder crying and knew it was because he had snapped before.

"Sh-Shonri and B-B-Ballad," he sniffled. He took a deep breath, trying to compose himself, but a single sob got loose before he got a hold of himself. Ryder sat up straight, and whispered softly, "Shonri sure hates him. But Ballad's not that bad, is he?" he said, looking up, looking for a hope that Ballad wasn't evil like the other pack.
