Fang stood tall "Yes. I am" his voice boomed

Hikaru flicked her ears. "My cub and I are looking for somewhere to stay," She said, relaxing a bit but kept her guard up. Most males could be unpredictable.

Fang stepped forward a bit, and slowly walked to the sabres. He kept his distance. he looked them over and thought. "You may join this one if you wish" he glared at them, not knowing if he could trust them

Hikaru lowered herself over cub a bit with a low warning growl. When he offered her a space in the pride, she flicked back an ear. "I will accept your offer on one condition. DO NOT touch my cub," She said, making her point that something would happen only if something happened to Bryne.

"I wouldn't do that. He's your cub, and I respect that."

"Good. You are one of the very few that would respect that," Hikaru said, finally sitting up away from Bryne. The sandy colored cub peeked from around her front leg at Fang, his steel colored eyes wide with both wonder and confusion. Why was his mother talking to this stranger? Bryne got up and started toward Fang, his large feet making him stagger every so often as he aimed to investigate the older male. However, Hikaru was right behind him, sitting down a few feet away and watching Fang closely before looking at Bryne again when he tripped.

Fang moved his paw "but it's ok if he touches me, right?" he chuckled

"I mean in any harmful way. Playing or helping is one thing. The last male we came across tried to kill him," Hikaru said, answering his question with a nod as she watched Bryne walk up to Fang and sniff at him before batting at the paw Fang had moved.

"heh heh," Fang chuckled "he's cute" he flicked his short tail

"Yes he is. And he's all I have left so I protect him with every ounce of my will," Hikaru said with a soft smile as she watched Bryne look around Fang to his flicking tail. Bryne crouched into a stalking position, wiggling his hind end as he watched Fang's tail.
