Ansel woke up and left the den to go for a walk in the woods.

Luke walked into the den and laid down and started to daydream.

Nala the pup

I slowly walked to my cave, limping on my back right foot where I had been burned from the fire that killed my family. Once I got into the shelter of the cave I lay down licking the blood off of my paws. My coat was covered in mud and dirt you could hardly see what color my coat was. After licking the blood off of my paws I painfully laid my head down, and closed my eyes.

Ansel walked around the woods and sniffed for food. He caught the scent of a large buck. He stalked it and lunged clenching his jaws on his throat. He snapped the neck and lapped at the blood flowing from the puncture marks.

Nala the pup

I ran my tongue over the top of my mouth, my mouth was dry. There is a stream near by, but I knew if I got up pain would shoot though my body. I decided to live though the pain and get a drink. I stood up and limped to a stream that was about a yard away. Once I got their, I got a little drink.

Ansel felt something calling him toward the stream. He ripped off a chunk of the buck and hid the rest. He picked up the chunk and headed to the stream slowly. The food was for Luke his alpha if he was there when he got to the brook he dropped the meat and stared at the pup. It looked so unhealthy. He cleared his throat.

I jumped up not expecting to see someone. I took a step back, backing up into the water. If I swim down stream then he will not go after me I thought, "wh-who are you" I asked.

Seeing how shy the pup was. I spoke softly. "My name is Ansel. Would you like something to eat?" I saw how thin she was.

I licked my chops, I nodded looking at the chunk of meat. Should I trust this wolf, last time I trusted someone they killed my family I thought.
