With a jolt I spun around. Two females were arguing. Their bickering was excessive, and I took a few curious steps toward the sound before noticing another dog. (Ross, by the way)

"Hey, I'm Chandler," I introduced gregariously. He too seemed to be spectating, and his posture looked friendly, not intimidating. Plus I could really use a friend.
