Dax smiled, the throbbing in his head betting softer. His breathing was steadier now.

Dax fell asleep half happy, half in pain.

Rip Tide yawned and looked round

Dax yawned and opened his eyes. Nothing was blurry now, and he felt better. His eyes adjusted to the light from the cave's entrance. He looked outside and smiled.

Rip Tide was still asleep

Dax looked over at Rip Tide. She was still asleep. His eyes eventually lingered back to the outside of the cave. His neck still hurt, but not as bad. His brown fur was matted with dry blood. Dax yawned widely and took in a large breath of fresh air.
