Yawning, Phoebe awoke to the sound of chirping birds. Hunting all morning had made her extremely exhausted and she had found a nice tree to rest in. The fae shook her head with another yawn, revealing sharp, white fangs. She stood up and gracefully leapt off the branch of the scyamore tree. Phoebe a lighted on the ground with a soft thud and lifted her coal black nose. She took a good whiff of the air. Her mouth slightly opened letting oxygen enter. Several scents of squirrel, her pack, and doe wafted into her mouth and nose. The she-wolf tilted her head, and let her gray ears rotate in circular motions. Many sounds rushed into her ears, somewhat overwhelming to the wolf. Mainly the trickling of the stream and rustling of leaves could be heard. Besides that nothing suspicious had crept into her ears or nose. With that she bounded forward and vanished into the darkening forest. Her lithe figure swallowed up by black shadows.

The male wolf silently dashed forward through the dense forest. His head and body low to the ground. His emerald eyes set on a hare not too far off. Karine paused and bunched his haunches. With a powerful push of his hind legs he left the ground and pounced on the hare. It let out a squal of terror, but was soon silenced by Karine's sharp bite on it's verebrae. The prey instantly passed on and hung limpy in his strong jaws. Lifting his head, Karine proudly admired is catch. The scrawny male had been chasing after the rabbit for a while. It had kept moving from place to place as if it suspected the wolf. Still it was no match for Karine's expertice hunting skills. He perked his large ears and gave a sweep of the area. No one was there, thus he turned around and headed off to the camp to drop off his catch.

Star waited in the field and stayed down low in the yellow dry grass of the meadow.She saw the white bunny hop along and slowly stop. The bunny twitched its ears to check if it was safe. Stars tail swayed with excitement. She got in her pouncing position. And with one leap she snatched the bunny and bit. she set it down and bit it again to make sure it was dead. She then grabbed the white fur ball and headed for her old tree the laid the bunny on the pile and inside her hollow tree and laid down.
