Riverdance
River turns back to the mare with a hop in her step. She flicks her tail as she perks her curved ears forward. "Hello, names' River."

Romeo looked surprised for a second, then glanced at the new horse. It was a mare, he wondered if she would also join his herd. He sighed and looked over to Lazer, glancing around and making sure there weren't any predators. "Hi." He said, glancing at the mare and behind her. He felt he had a responsibility now, even to this new mare.

Lazer snorted and lowered her head, she peered at the new mare in curiosity. "Hello!" She said brightly walking around the side fo Romeo.

Romeo looked at Lazer and back to the mare. He watched as Lazer said hello. Then he smiled at the new comer. He looked at her, studying her body shape and how fit she was. He raised an eyebrow. Romeo instinctively moved closer to Lazer, he felt that danger was near. He looked around them, studying the familiar place. He sniffed the air, and sensed the sudden silence around them. Something or someone, was coming, and they weren't going to be nice.

Riverdance
Riverdance looked puzzled, she was a loner nobody follows her...She roams the range a lone, with nobody...She lifted her head and flicked her tail, flies irritating her delecate skin. She suddenly came to her sences, her ears perked forward, she looked humilated. "I'm sorry..if I startled you. I'll go now, I mean, if you don't mind..." River let her head hang low. She was no longer her quiet self she always used to be. She began to walk briskly away from the two, only turning back to look at them once more, waiting to see if either would say something next.

Romeo shook himself from his daydream. "Wait. Why're you going?" He asked, mysteriously. He stepped forward and raised his head, "Why not stay a bit?" He asked. He looked at River. "The name's Romeo."

Lazer looked at the mare confused. But out of the corner of her eyes she say a brown figure aprouching them. Rearing up and screaming wildly, she looked at what looked like to be a cougar right in the eyes.

Riverdance
Riverdance spotted the image and reared, her mane and tail soaring through the sky. She hoped into a gallop and charged the animal, her ears pinned and her teeth bared. She bucked after nearly stomping upon its tail. She slid to a stop and neighed, filled with terror and agravation. She then went back to a gallop with a kick from behind, bucking wildly.

Romeo looked at Lazer, and saw the cougar out of the corner of his eye. He yelled at them, "Run! Make for the cover of the trees over there! I'll come for you soon." He said, then looked Lazer in the eye and nuzzled her, before pushing her in the direction of the trees. He turned back around and faced the cougar, he whinnied, rearing up and smashing his hooves down onto the hard earth. The floor shook a bit from the force, and Romeo saw that the cougar trembled a bit. Romeo stepped back when the cougar advanced, he sidestepped and turned back around, so that they were in the opposite place to where they were before. Romeo advanced, his teeth bared, and snapped at the cougar. When the cougar swiped his face, Romeo neighed and striked the cougar with his hoof, knocking him to the floor with a head injury. He'd probably died on the spot. Romeo stood panting for a second, exhausted.
