She shook her head and looked at him. "Um..no..we really have no where to go now. We just finished our meal and were wandering. Sometimes the humans give us food." Terasu shrugged and locked onto his gaze. Her paws shifted slightly in her nervousness and her brown eyes held curiosity. She felt her light pelt growing warm, most of the time the sun would just reflect off of it, but now she was burning up.

Russet huffed at his friend and sat down. He turned to look behind him and the city, seeing as all the other dogs there were talking as well. He saw no one free nd shifted his mahogany eyes back to the dogs in front of him.

He started to walk in the direction of the field. His and August's pelts occasionally brushing against each other from time to time. He decided not to speak up until she does, or until he would find something interesting to talk about.

Before telling him her story, she smiled at him. Kassie wasn't ashamed of her story, nor did she sob because of it. She got over how badly she was treated a long time ago. " Its not as bad as some dogs living here... I was tossed around houses. " She tried remembering how she felt then, what she saw. But it was dug deep inside of her, a feeling that she hasn't experienced in a long time." Taken into a house because of my past owner. Each one threw me out on the street for one reason. A human child. I was taken to several towns actually." She shot him a smile before continuing on." Then I ended up here. When I got kicked out one last time, I followed a stray dog here. I haven't asked for the name and thats what I regret... Anyway, whats your story ?"

August laid in the soft grass of the fields. So… I uh… I think your a good friend, she said. She gave him a swift lick to the cheek and looked at her paws. Digging her head in the grass, she sighed.

Apollo
Apollo cocked his head slightly as he took it all in, part of him wanted to feel sorry for her but the smiles she shot him were somehow comforting not only to herself but to him also, "Well, I was born and raised in the South, when I moved here I almost instantly lost the accent, I stayed for a while in the…" Apollo cut himself off to glance over his shoulder, "the pound" he muttered in a hushed tone, the pound was one of the things he hated to speak of, "And if you wish, I could show you how I ended up on these here streets?" he offered, turning in the direction of his home.

Jake tried putting his words together, but when she licked his cheek his heart fluttered a bit. When he shook off all of the thoughts he concentrated on her sentence. " Thanks.. I think you're great too. " With a smile, he nudged her hidden snout in encouragement to look up.

When he spoke about the pound, the word started ringing in her ears. She has been there before, but didn't dare to tell anyone. Kassie felt sorry for him being there, she just couldn't imagine how bad it must have been for him to end up there with unknown dogs. When he spoke about telling her how he ended up on the streets, she shook off the thoughts and spoke up." If you think you could manage it. " She would love to know for how curious she always is, but if it meant that he would regret it she wouldn't agree.

August blinked, smiling a bit. Her bright blue eyes glowed beautifully.

"Heh, it isn't anything I can't handle" he replied, as the two of them padded down the street they earned a majority of glares and glances, Apollos eyes happened to come across a glare from a small dog, Apollo huffed and rolled his eyes. The smell hit him first, the smell of burt wood and brick. Then of course there was the sight itself… endless soot and broken furniture amongst it all lay the fridge, clearly built of sturdier stuff, "About a month ago this was a house, my house" he pointed out, clambering over the rubble to the fridge, he pushed his nose between the door and flipped it open. Praise the creator of this here fridge! he thought, nosing around and pulling out an array of food.

He rolled onto his back with his paws in the air. His eyes closed as the sun started hitting his face,making his pelt look less grey.

Her eyes widened when she entered the building. She tried her hardest to imagine how this place might have looked like in the past. " I'm so sorry... " Kassie couldn't imagine how hard it must be for him to see this place like this, knowing that this used to be his home.

Apollo
Apollo smiled to himself, although er words couldn't change what had happened it still made him feel better, "It's fine, I got over it" Apollo didn't sound so sure but he was satisfied with his answer all the same, "Hey Kassie, you hungry?" he asked from the 'kitchen,' it had to be the kitchen… the fridge was in it.
