Jess
The shiba slid across the floor and snapped her jaws at the duck, she managed to catch a mouthful of feathers before standing and slipping backwards on the mud, Jess rose slowly from the water, much more carefully this time. A spout of water passed between her lips as she spat the water onto the grass, "Well, that could have gone better.." she thought aloud as she padded over to a tree, that was when she spotted Thunder, she approached him quietly from behind before saying, "Hey there."

" No you're not. I've only spend a couple of minutes with you and already know how smart you are." Jake locked his eyes with hers, trying his best not to move his muzzle." Not every dog thinks of a sleeping spot like this." He pointed his muzzle towards the tree roots before leveling with hers again. " Besides, you are very pretty. " Noticing what he had said, Jake hoped that she wouldn't give it some thought and would forget about it. So he got to his paws and started walking towards a field."You coming ?"

Kassie followed his gaze and locked her eyes on the hot dog. " We could find more of that. " She let out a chuckle before looking back at Apollo.

August opened her jaws in amazement. Did you call me…pretty? And smart? Her heart raced, hoping he really did. After all, Jake's personality was touching her heart. She realized she may be in love with him. She followed him and walked next to him, stopping to look into his eyes.

Jess
Jess chuckled and rolled her eyes, "Yeah yeah…" she mumbled teasingly, her smile seemed to broaden somewhat as she began to find the new dog as more of a friend, "Well it's a pleasure to meet you, Dragon. Ah'm Jess" she replied, grinning sheepishly as her accent briefly swung off into it's original Southern style, "Ah'm not from these parts, Ah wasn't born here" she pointed out, trying to save herself from further embarrasment. Just to further add to her embarrassment she added, "It'll wear off the longer ah'm here… ah think."

Apollo
Apollo stared at her for a few seconds before rocking back onto his haunches in disbelief, "Y- you mean that?" he spluttered, glancing from Kassie to the hot-dog, he briefly said, "Well, could you show me?" before he rose onto all fours.

He paused before looking up at her." Well... Jake locked his eyes with hers, with a hidden smile forcing not to show on his face." I guess so.."

" Nothing big really. " She turned towards the boy with the hot dog before taking one last glance at him. She wondered off to the kid while his mum was busy talking on the phone to someone and holding the boy by his hand. The toller stood behind the boy, muzzle leveled with his head. When the boy took one last bite out of the hot dog, Kassie's jaw tightened on the bap as it slid out of his hand. She snapped the thing in two when she walked back to Appollo. " Here. " Her face had a smile on her face as she swallowed the hot dog in one bite.

She blushed but said nothing. She just headed on, looking for that dog she saw earlier. Thunder, was it?

Apollo
Apollo smiled and swallowed up her offering, Well, it tastes better than what I've already been eating, he thought, shooting his sister a slightly puzzled glares, "Thanks Kassie" he said finally, swinging his gaze back round and landing it on Kassie, he thought for a second before finally asking, "How come you live on the streets then?"

He started to walk in the direction of the field. His and August's pelts occasionally brushing against each other from time to time. He decided not to speak up until she does, or until he would find something interesting to talk about.

Before telling him her story, she smiled at him. Kassie wasn't ashamed of her story, nor did she sob because of it. She got over how badly she was treated a long time ago. " Its not as bad as some dogs living here... I was tossed around houses. " She tried remembering how she felt then, what she saw. But it was dug deep inside of her, a feeling that she hasn't experienced in a long time." Taken into a house because of my past owner. Each one threw me out on the street for one reason. A human child. I was taken to several towns actually." She shot him a smile before continuing on." Then I ended up here. When I got kicked out one last time, I followed a stray dog here. I haven't asked for the name and thats what I regret... Anyway, whats your story ?"

[hotdoge]

Russet nods. "We stay pretty far away from the children. If we didn't this one would have left in a heartbeat." The big dog said as he pointed his muzzle to the tall sandy female behind him. He chuckled and flicked his ears as he turned back to the mutt. "Us mutts tend to scare off the humans. Hve no idea what gets into her though. She is a purebreed. Humans love her but she runs off." Russet continued about Terasu. "What breeds are you? If you think you know any. I am part shepherd...maybe some wolfdog...and some say I am pa--"

"Russet! Hush! You are talking the poor guy's ears off!" Terasu hissed between her teeth. She gave Luther a sheepish smile and nodded to him before stepping in front of Russet. "Sorry...he means well. " She said softly. Her eyes seemed only be on him for an instant before switching to the horizon. "Do not let us stop you from where you were headed. We should get going anyway." Tera said quietly.

Luther~
Luther shrugged his shoulders, fur shifting over the lithely-crafted muscles. The mutt felt his ears draw forward even further when the tan she-dog stepped in front of her companion. She was proving herself to be noticably more courageous than Luther had first expected, even though she had originally seemed particularly shy and reserved.
"I don't mind conversation," He murmured as soon as the female finished her apology, contemplation crossing his face. "And I wasn't going anywhere in particular, so there has been no inconvenience."
Flicking his tail slightly, Luther let his gaze wander after the long-legged purebred's, scanning the horizon but finding nothing of real importance. Perhaps she wasn't as deceptively brave as Luther had thought only moments before. She didn't look as if she wanted to maintain eye-contact.
"But if you would like to be on your way, I have no reason to stop you."
