Ronan dipped his head slightly, picking up the mare's voice through the rain better than before. "Feather-" The chestnut tested, trying out the sound of the blue mare's name on his tongue. "It suits you." He added, as if he had just finished inspecting an old photograph of Feather's. The stallion pricked his ears, cocking his head to the side for a moment. It sounded terribly quiet, the dull roar of the rain striking the tree's leaves and branches almost gone as the storm began slowing. Ronan looked out at the vivid green world, as if the entire land had been gilded from the rain. He looked back at Feather, testing his leg by gradually applying more weight to the limb. It was clear though that his pain threshold would not increase any more than it had, as the dull throbbing had quickly turned into a sharp searing sensation. Ronan grimaced slightly, but determined not to lose any more of his dignity shoved the expression away and returned his gaze to Feather. "Looks like we got lucky with this one." He said, trying to mask the limp in his stride as best he could as the Connemara mix carefully moved out from underneath the ancient oak, the sky only lazily dripping from shriveled grey clouds, now that it's storm had been spent. "I think the rain's stopped for now."
