Brooke stood under a maple tree as the storm raged she quivered knowing trees were not safe to be by with the lighting but at least the rain wasn't as hard. Her ears were perked as she remembered that lighting was how her youngest sister died. Brook felt and tear drop but she kept the rest in and lay down and the muddy grass. Right now she wished she and her brother hadn't splitten up. He knew what she was feeling all the time and was always there to confert her but not know.

Spot The Difference|5 years|mare| Loner| Not in heat

Spotty sighed, listening to the storm pound down around her. She shivered heavily, the tree she was under didn't offer much protection from the harsh weather. Particularly from lightning. Shifting her weight onto her other leg tiredly, Spotty looked around her surroundings. She couldn't currently see any other horses. Which isn't always a bad thing, Spotty reminded herself. Atleast I'm not being pestered by stallions every 5 seconds.

Nightmare flicked his ear back as she replied. He turned his head again and nickered softly then gave a light whinny. He took a step forward before turning around slightly, not really facing her. He looked over at her again, giving a small smile."Hey."

Dalis relaxed a little, seeing that he seemed friendly. She pricked her ears forward, "Hi." She said in reply, giving a bright smile. Dalis took a step forward,"I'm Dalis." She neighed, taking another step towards him.

Paxaro was thrilled. The mare seemed to accept his friendly greeting and was walking towards him, typically a good sign that she saw no threat. That was wonderful, considering that Pax would never hurt a mare unless they attacked him first. "That is an absolutely stunning name." He said, bowing his head as she approached him. He looked up, his ears raised, and his eyes bright. "I'm Paxaro, but you can call me 'Pax' if you want."

Dawn sighed softly, not replying to his nicker and whinny. When he spoke a greeting, she frowned slightly, wondering why he was talking to her, but not even looking her way. "Hello." She replied, taking a few curious steps closer to him. Her body was taunt and tense, ready to fly off in a run if things turned bad.

Ronan made sure he kept his distance, when he noted the tense and defensive position the mare held as she stood away from him. The last thing he needed right now was another riled horse. He turned his head to avoid the drops as the blue mare shook her mane free of water, his mane was still soaked and sticking to the sides of his neck and forehead in an uncomfortable way. He snorted at her, a sort of annoyed sound that rose in pitch to add an amused edge to the noise as he was again freshly covered in water drops. "Touché" The male retorted gently, to the mare's quiet words. "Though, I'm not the kind of stallion to leave a horse out in a storm. Despite the risk." Ronan said, just catching the slight mare's words over the driving rain that beat against the branches above them with a percussive sound. "-and you're welcome." He added hurriedly after a pause, somewhat deadpanning at the end of his words. He watched her, a small part of him aching to submit to the oldest of instincts and court the mare when he knew she would have no other place to go. Yet the flaxen chestnut was held still by his injured leg, which he had stretched out again after the wound had begun bleeding afresh again from his weight shifting. Ronan, who realized that the mare must have caught him staring by now, turned his head out to look through the rain a somewhat absent glaze over his eyes as if he were thinking. He was suddenly brought out of this trance and peered out into the rain more closely, sure enough there was the vague form of another horse out in the storm. "Did you see any other horses, when you were out there?" He asked quickly, turning to look at the blue mare, the questioning tone in his voice plagued by worry that it might be that stallion again. Bored with his beaten pet already and looking for another bought of lashing violence.

Nightmare turned his head a bit, to look at her. He saw how tense she was, his ears fell back slightly."I don't bite." He said softly, taking a deep breath,"I'm Nightmare..and who might you be?" He asked, keeping his gaze on her.

Dalis perked her ears up a little, taking another step forward,"Thank you," She paused as he told her his name. She smiled and bowed her head in return."Your name is wonderful too. And, it's very nice to meet you Pax." Dalis said with a bright smile.

Bonnie followed after Silver with an appreciative snort, the rain soaking her down to the core. The past few days had been relatively light on weather, and it was as if nature was making up for lost time by seemingly dumping all the water out of the sky at once to flood the land below. The ground, already damp from the stream had become little more than a marshy puddle as she trotted up and out of the small dip in the land that the stream had run trough. She reached the trees shortly after Silver, her head lowered and her ears flicked back to avoid water getting into them. She had gone through that experience once, and was not looking to repeat it anytime soon. Bonnie was now soaked to the core and shaking slightly, as she pressed herself against the trunk of the closest tree to avoid the driving rain that had seemingly begun falling even harder than before. The bay jumped slightly as the first roar of thunder ripped through the sky, peering up through the tangle of flimsy leaves that sheltered them from the storm. "Looks like we're going to be here for awhile" The mare said, deadpanning as she finished her sentence.

Keelin reversed her path as soon as she heard her colt's whinny from behind her. She wheeled around on her hind hooves cantering over her tracks before slowing to a trot as she came to stand beside her son on the cliff's edge. She spotted the figure almost immediately, a mare by her proportions laying on the pebbled beach. The dappled mare turned her attention to Reilly, ready to tell him to remain where he was, only to find that the spot he had been peering over the edge of the cliffside in was now empty. She whipped her head to the side, quickly spotting the colt already making his way down a path Keelin had run right by only moments before. "Be careful!" The mare called, after him but for all the worth it did she might have been opening her mouth too simply breathe. Reilly was far too much like his mother, leap first and hope that you land somewhere good.

Reilly lost his footing half way down the narrow path to the secluded beach, his heart instantly leaping into this throat for a few terrifying seconds before he could get his hooves beneath him again. The colt breathed heavily for a moment, his feet firmly planted into the pebbled path as if he might never move again for fear of falling. Shaking off this feeling he gingerly started down the path again, the horse below he could now see better, it was a mare. Dappled like his mom, and of the same heritage from what he could see. Reilly finally reached the bottom of the path, his little hooves showering the foot or two around him with a spray of pebbles as he came quickly to a stop and righted himself, shaking his pelt out and looking over to the mare. "Are you alright?" The colt asked, his voice like so many young stallions of his age, still innocent but slowly becoming the male that he was destined to be. He moved slightly closer to the darkly dappled mare, too curious of this new horse to yet understand that he should leave good distance out of respect.

Feather's head tilted to the side, a look of concern and fear on her face at the Stallion's last words. She didn't like the tone of his voice...it sounded worried. Putting the pieces together, she assumed he was afraid of another horse who had hurt him. "No." She murmured, shaking her pretty blue head back and forth slowly. "But the rain is thick, and I wasn't really looking." She paused, shifting her weight from hoof to hoof in a nervous geasture. She relaxed a little bit after Ronan had spoke. His words had been kind. But once he asked about another horse, it brought the old anxiety rushing back. Even in the dim light, Feather could make out the bloody form of the stallion's wound. It looked painful, and her heart ached for him. The mare had always been extremely kind and caring...but was always too shy or skiddish to share it with anyone.

Dawn snorted, giving Nightmare a strange look. "You never know." She retorted to his comment about biting. She had met stallions that bite. Almost all of them do. She eyed him suspiciously, but stood her ground, deciding not to leave. "Dawn." She said simply, watching the male named Nightmare with keen eyes.

Paxaro grinned, his friendly disposition showing. "It is a pleasure to meet you as well, Miss Dalis." He replied, taking a few steps closer to her. His movements were harmless and slow, showing that he didn't mean to hurt the mare, or attempt any funny business. "What is a beautiful mare like you doing out here all alone?" He asked, his head tipping to the side in a curious nature.
