Mazie helped him clear some of the shrubs and grasses and began digging a little, starting to reveal a hole near the stump, she looked at Sirgil, and kept going until it was uncovered, only then did she hear a whimper.

"We will get you little pup." Sirgil used his mouth to rip and yank some of the roots away. He occasionally eyed Mazie to see how she was holding up. He admired how calm she seemed to be in that situation. Though, it wouldn't do anyone good to panic.

Mazie helped Sirgil pull away the roots. She looked at him with corner of her eye and was surprised to see that he watching her. She quickly looked back to the roots and was stuck on a rather large one. She tugged and tugged at it, soon she had two paws up against the base of the stump as she pulled even harder at it. Soon enough it just ripped out of the ground. She yelped as it had caused her to roll backwards.

Sirgil went to help her with the large root, but it snapped before he knew what was happening. He gasped and quickly came over to her. " Are you okay?" He asked, concern laced in his voice.

Mazie had fallen into a bush, but got back up. “Ouch,” she said shaking her fur from the debris. “I think so,” she told him, and she noted the concern in his voice. She then went right back to work, luckily now that that one root was gone a lot of other one's were easier to pull.

Sirgil frowned a bit, at her lack of concern for herself. "Be careful." As came to her side, he stopped to grab a twig from her fur and tossed it to the side before going back to work. He stopped when he saw a tuft of fur just out of reach. "Rascal?"

Mazie nodded, she blushed a little as he pulled a twip from her fur. As soon as she saw the fur which she knew was his, she called in too, “Rascal? Are you ok.”

A soft whimper sounded from in the tunnel, “My leg hurts, and I can't feel my paw.” It was definitely Rascal.

Boys will be boys. He sighed a little, glad that he was alive. "Alright little man, we are going to get you." Sirgil studied the hole, it went in a precarious direction under the stump. "How do you think we should go about it Mazie?" He looked up to her as he spoke.

Mazie thought for a moment and looked at him, “Since I'm a litte smaller than you, how about I go in and you direct me how to get in so I can get to him?”
