Bronx stood in the park he had been up pretty much all night for he has been looking around all night for a pup that he saw earlier that day but by now he was starting to fear the worse. Either the dog catcher got it or it had been hit by car or something in the family. Shaking out his tan, black, and brown coat he yawns stretching his body.

{Yay!}
Tide trotted down the empty lane, rage blazing in her chest.
That human food was mine! Who does that dog think he is?
She spotted on a garbage can and delicately removed the lid, letting the smells of food rise to her nose. With care, Tide grasped a piece of crispy, brown meat and trotted off to devour her catch.

Kin ---Unknown
            Affiliation ---Pack Dog
            Rank ---Lead Helper
            History --- Darkness. It filled my bleary cerulean eyes as they opened. There were bumps that tossed me into the wire mesh of my kennel, and I could hear lonely howls of distraught dogs around me. As the questions raced through my mind, I asked myself the most important of all. Where was I?

            The smell of cynicism mingled with the musty aroma of lonely animals, and my little pink nose twitched in disgust. A vehicle of some sort, I supposed. But what was a 9 week old puppy like me doing in a van? All that I could remember was being gently dropped in a crate by my human, Jane. There was a goodbye kiss from my mother and I was suddenly tossed into a patch of nothingness, while dogs gave me hushed whispers of distress. With a whimper, I closed my eyes in fear, and I was asleep.

            Dawn light shed its grace on me as the door screeched. I had warm sunlight filtering upon my multicolored fur and, with a yawn, I stood up and stretched. Two men were taking kennels out and setting them onto the snow covered ground beneath me. One of their hands grasped the cage of chicken wire that I sat in and dropped me onto the ground. I was finally out of the truck! I yipped to no one unparticular and licked the cage that held me.

            Later that day, I was taken out by an older woman with graying hairs atop her head. She called me “Rascal”, and I grew quite fond of her for the 30 seconds she spent holding me. After that, I never saw her again, but the people that fed me at night smelled of her.

            ……….

            It had been 7 months, and I had grown into a strong young pup. I was clever, brute, and naïve. Just like all of the other puppies. But one thing about me that stuck out was my sarcasm.

            My quips often drove dogs away, as they sensed that I was aggressive. That wasn’t true at all; I’d never been in a fight. Sure there had been close encounters, and some recurring. Especially with my best friend, Akita. She was feisty and wasn’t afraid to back down from a fight, and tolerated my humor. We often joked around. But then, she was taken away from me. I can remember the day that she left so vividly; like it happened yesterday…

            {Flashback}

            “I don’t get why I have to go, Chandler. It doesn‘t make sense anymore.”

            “Well, first you should stop the Q- Tip when there’s resistance. And secondly, Akita, because you’re 2 months older. You’re smarter, faster, and more cunning than I am. The people want you to be on their team.”

            “But I’ll miss you.”

            “I’ll miss you too, Akita. Maybe I’ll see you again sometime.”

            “Maybe… I love you, Chandler.”

            “Love you too.”

            {End of flashback}

            ……….

            It was 2 months later. I had gone through training and agility, even tracking. I was now much taller and heavier, and my coat held a shimmer when it hit the sunlight,

            I had really missed Akita, but I learned to cope by distracting myself in strange ways. I threw snow, chased my tail, and even tried counting the stars, None of that worked. Then, one day, I found a very interesting way to get my mind off of her.

            I began climbing. Slanted trees were all I could manage, but I loved the feeling of bark digging into my paw pads and the sensation of my claws penetrating the trunk. It was so surreal to me; all I had ever known was the soft flakiness of snow.

            ……….

            I was finally adopted by a man named Barry Finke. He was a nice guy; mid-thirties, sandy blonde hair, and an abundance of dog food. And an abundance of dogs.

            There were nine of us in total, and not one of them liked me. I was the “new kid” as everyone called it, and I was younger, stupider, and slower than they were. I was made fun of, but none of them ever inflicted physical pain on me.

            ……….

            The wind hit my fur like shards of glass piercing my skin. The flurries drifted into my eyes and blinded me, and I was forced to stop. My team gave howls of fear and their eyes darted around them, searching for a way home. There was nowhere to go.

            ……….

            After days of pushing through the storm, we finally arrived home. But there were people there, and they were all boarding a large yellow helicopter. Barry boarded the craft too after feeding us and telling us goodbye. He tied us on our chains and left for the South, along with the rest of Alaska.
I've decided to quit CS :c It was a hard choice, but I really need to. I haven't been on in forever... And yeah. Bye everyone. Thank you SO much for giving me an amazing time. To contact me, please PM my brother, Gravity Falls.

Days like this I want to drive away
Pack my bags and watch your shadow fade
You chewed me up and spit me out
Like I was poison in your mouth
You took my light, you drained me down
But that was then and this is now
Now look at me

March trotted through a jungle of human legs, swerving left and right. She heard a sharp whistle, and looked back. A mounted officer was looked right at her, then spurred his horse, getting out his gun. March yelped, and fled. The thundering of the horse's hooves pounded behind her. She gulped, and identically rammed into stroller, a baby spilling out with the stroller. Dazed, March sat there. She got up, and went to run again, when a net came over her, and scooped her up. Two men lifted her, and threw her into a small confinement in a Animal Control van. The door was closed, and March clawed at it. "NO!" She howled.

Blizzard snarled and kept walking but crouched down when she saw a cat. She crept forward and lept placing her forepaws on its neck and applying pressure. She heard a snap and smiled as she gulped its puny body down.

Bronx looked around till the sound of aloud howl rang into his ears. They pinned back hard and with out a moment to think the large brute took off into a full run. A deep growl coming from his muzzle he looked down into the streets and saw a female dog being loaded into the van of the dog napper. He snapped his jaws hard making his way through the people till he came to the female jumping up he snapped onto the back of the man's shirt with his large K-9's and shook his head around quickly growling deeply as the man yelled out. Bronx's ears were pinned down hard.

March clawed at the door, and backed up into the farthest corner, making a plan. She pushed her back legs off of it, and rammed into it as hard as she could, denting it. She ended up half-flipping, back against the door, her rear end and legs touching the top, toes hanging. Her front end laid on the floor, eyes dazed. Meanwhile, the dog catcher screamed. Hearing this, March shook her head, and regained balance, and peeked through a hole in the door. She watched a male attack the dog catcher.
