She was sick and dying for awhile and then she was bought by a strange man, the man raised her but treated her badly. Then he threw her out on the streets and that' swhere she's been ever since.

Smokey ran as fast as his tiny legs could carry him. Behind him a human was chasing him and yelling very loudly. Probably cause Smokey had just took off with what was left of the mans sandwich. He saw a fence with a hole under it, as other dogs frequently passed through. At that moment Smokey didn't care about other dogs and dove under the fence. Looking around he discovered he was now in an old junkyard. Shrugging, Smokey laid down under a beat-up car to eat his lunch. "Dem good fur nothen humans! At least day keep me well fed."
