Skye had managed to locate Serene, who had happily taken the cub. As she was walking back, the golden lioness had seen the exchange going on between Zyphan and Geisha. "Zyphan you should accept the help. A pride helps one another and if you don't, your injuries will only get worse and take longer to heal." Her warm amber eyes moved over to the other lioness,"She knows what he is talking about." Smiling happily, the younger female headed off to locate her brother.

Serene now held a sleeping Mercury in her jaws. The cub had fallen asleep so she had decided to carry him te rest of the way. The old lioness carefully made her way through the long grass, her pelt keeping her hidden.

Zyphan looked at the lionesses," please, I can help myself. I have been through far worse and had been alone." zyphan had only let geisha do his neck before walking off clumsily.

"Well, when we get to the pride, I'm gonna patch you up." Geisha said. The neck was the worst of his injuries. The rest could wait until he got to his den. Finally, Geisha set foot in the camp and looked side ways to make sure Zyphan was still next to her and not on the ground or missing.

Zyphan walked passed Geisha and went straight to his den. He laid down and started to tend to his wounds. Zyphan cleaned his wounds until they stopped bleeding.

Serene had laid Mercury in his nest before going over to Zyphans den. She let out a cough so he would know she was entering. The old lionesses calm gaze swept over his form before she sat down near the entrance. "Looks like you were chewed on and then spat out." Letting out a rusty purr, Serene glanced around the den. "Mercury looks up to you, you know. As soon as Skye brought him back, he immediately started to tell me how brave and strong you were. He even said that you could take on any animal and win." Smiling softly, her eyes rested on the prides leader. "I just wanted to thank you for being so kind to him and being a good role model. It's rare for the leader to show any interest in cubs that aren't theirs."

Rosa had followed the adults back to camp but no sooner than she'd taken a few steps she felt herself being lifted off the ground by the scruff, she let out a cry of surprise then looked up at the familiar white lion, Avalanche. The cub calmed down and let herself be carried to their usual spot under a small tree, was set down. Rosa sat and looked up at Avalanche, expecting some kind of scolding for something she either did or didn't do,instead Avalanche licked the top of her head. "Are you okay?" he asked, his voice kind and concerned. Rosa nodded, "Yes, Zyphan made sure us cubs were safe." she said. Avalanche nodded and told her to stay as he went to thank Zyphan, stopped at the leader's den and sat down, seeing someone was already speaking to him, and waited till he could speak.

Geisha gathered some herbs and was carrying them to Zyphan when she saw Serene's back side in the entrance of his cave. She walked up and saw a white lion. He looked strong and young. Geisha and sat down on the other side of the cave entrance and set her herbs down. "Hello! My name is Geisha. I'm new to the pride. What about you?"

Zyphan nodded," I don't have cubs so I like having the pride cubs around." He watched her saw lions wanting to talk, but ignored them," to me I think of mercury as a son. If anything happened to me and I still don't have cubs I want mercury to be pride leader."

Serene was shocked but it was the good kind. "Well I'll leave you to rest. Don't overwork yourself Zyphan. You are important to the pride." The old lioness got to her paws and padded out of the den. She felt better knowing that Mercury would be cared for if anything happened to her.
