Serene stood and winced in pain. Her back was aching and so was her neck. "Young lions are so lucky," she mumbled to herself. The old female headed back towards the others, knowing Mercury would obey the rules.

Nero stepped back and let Skye stand. His fur was a dark brown from the water but he didn't mind for once.

Phifi playfully growled at Rosa. "Nice one!" Phifi started to jump from stone to stone in the waterhole. Geisha went to the waterhole and found Phifi and watched her. "Wait for me!" Geisha called to Phifi. Geisha jumped from stone to stone and followed her cub in case Phifi fell into deep water.

Mercury saw Phifi and quickly headed over to the river. Skipping the stones, he splashed into the shallow water. As he reached the deeper area, he began paddling like Serene had showed him, easily swimming since the current wasn't strong.
