Mercury was grinning and happily bounded forward. "Lets go before it gets dark, otherwise we will have to wait until tomorrow."

Nero was about to splash her again but hadn't been ready for Skye to spring at him. He was easily throw off balance and was tackled into the water. The two fell, water splashing as they fought to pin the other.

Phifi arived at the waterhole and laughed out loud. "Looky! The big, shy lion is playing with another lioness!" She called back. She watched Nero and Skye while she waited for the others.

Saree was soaked and walked passed the cubs and to her den. She went in and started to groom herself. Her eyes were the only thing that shined in the cave and that was all you could see.

Mercury bounced over to Phifi's side and saw who she was talking about. "Oh you mean Nero. The lioness is his sister Skye, she's fun to play with."

Nero finally got the upperhand and used his larger size to his advantage. He pinned Skye in the shallow water, holding her shoulders down.

Skye was breathing heavily after the tussle and stopped struggling as she was pinned. "Ok you win, I give."

Rosa watched the two adults play then looked back at the cubs she had followed over, smirked and pounced at them, knocking them down and tumbling to the ground herself in the process.

Mercury fell forward with an, "oomf." Picking himself up, he shook his head. Seeing Rosa, he jumped at her, his claws carefully sheathed so he didn't hurt her.
