She ran faster, and she could hear her heart thudding in her ears. Behind her, the cat was beginning to tire, and its pawsteps were shorter and shorter between. She swerved off and darted towards a burrow where she barely was able to pant out "cat," to Sugah and she hopped quickly towards her den.

I blinked open my eyes, and I could now clearly see all that was going on around me. My sister, Shartlet was still sleeping and I hopped over to nudge her awake. "Shart, wake up..." I trailed off in a yawn and sat back on my haunches. I rubbed my face with a paw and stretched out my legs.

"I don't know what type of cat it was, it was big and hairy and smelled like moss." She was beginning to breathe more slowly and her nervous trembling was also dying down. "Why?"

Basil was up and had been talking to Parsival about what was going to happen. She didn't want something bad to happen to them and if it did she would be very upset.

Charlette woke up and yawned," What?" She looked around and stretched. "Yin, what you think is going to happen today?" She didn't know she was going to be able to go out today.
