DAS INTRO
BIC:Floyd was outside in the cold Alaskan spring. She'd somehow managed to make it through the harsh winter, but not much was left of her. Spring presented a better opportunity to hunt game due to the awakening animals' groggy unawareness. She would have to hunt efficiently though, before packs start to come to this area and claim it theirs. There was still quite a bit of snow on the ground, making it hard to pick out individual animal dens. Floyd had to rely on her sense of smell and hearing.
Being a lone wolf wasn't as easy as she'd realized after being shunned from her pack, but it wasn't has hard has she'd thought either. The only real issues she would have would be staying away from packs, but she had no real problem with that in while. It's been a couple of moons since she'd ran into a pack, but that last encounter nearly cost her life. She would also have to worry about getting too comfortable around a pack or being convinced that no one was near. Both being nearly fatal situations.
Floyd had been walking for a bit when she'd finally caught scent of an animal; a fox, she'd realized, "and what treats foxes are." she spat sarcastically. Foxes and Floyd have had issues with each other ever since she was defined a lone wolf. They were among one of the worst competitors for food, being a lone wolf. They were also very sneaky as well, due to the fact they keep stealing her kills. But foxes aren't all bad: if a fox is near then that means food is near.
She followed her nose to where the fox was. Floyd hid in the bushes a distance from the fox, waiting for him to get what he was hunting and take it from him. A fox knows better than to mess with a wolf. Floyd waited, and when the fox caught something she scared him away and ate the animal. She was enjoying the free kill when the Alaskan wind came in, carrying with it the scents of a wolf. "No..." she said to herself quietly, there was more than one wolf. Floyd got up and with the animal carcass and walked away. The scent of the wolves let her know that these wolves were unaware of her presence, so there was not much of a worry.
Then a thought hit her, and she reconsidered her options; there was only what smelled like two wolves, they could be scouts but scouts didn't go too far away from the other ones, but they don't walk in the same area either. "Perhaps... they could be lone wolves like me?" Floyd considered. Either way she didn't like being a lone wolf at all, she wanted to be accepted by someone: and this might be her chance.
Floyd stopped walking and sat right down where she was; fully exposed, no cover, and at complete disadvantage if these wolves weren't friendly, but the only way to gain trust is to be submissive, might as well make a good first impression.
