West
"Don't fear the wolf but the wild within."
West scurried across the ground towards a grazing group of elk. Early arrivals after the long Winter, and by looking at them she could see none of them were exactly fighting fit. The bull elk himself was beyond lean; his ribs were visible beneath his shaggy red fur, and his cow elk were in no better state. Still, they grazed peacefull unaware of the dark fae. Like a weasle stalking a rabbit, she hoped for a small early-born calf amongst them. She was met with no such luck, so sided with trying to take on a larger elk... maybe she could tire one of the skeletal beasts out and take it out when it was exhausted.
Lunging forward, West errupted from the cover of some brambles. The elk reared in surprise, breaking immediately from each other. One, two, three, four, five, six. Six large beasts pursued by a small fae charged along the plains. Eventually West singled one cow elk out; it was no weaker or slower than the others, but it had become seperated far sooner.
The she-wolf barked at the elk, driving it steadily closer to the River and Stream territories.

North
"Death does not exist for us; remember that 'til the day we die."
"Mm...hm?" North rose his head. He could hear barking... hoof beats... gradually approaching. Struggling to his paws the brute peeped over the grass. There was a blackish grey wolf chasing an emaciated cow elk to his close right.
Growling, North slinked forward, ignoring the pain at the thought of snatching a good bite of food.

East
“Sometimes the questions are complicated and the answers are simple.”
East nodded, rolling his shoulders. He couldn't keep a small grin from forming from her oddly ridiculous behaviour; this was certainly a side he hadn't seen of her yet. But it was something he liked.
He pushed his head up, puffing out his maned forelimbs and chest happily, liquid amber eyes glowing happily. He wasn't sure what his rank would be; he was a terrible hunter and fighter. Zero talent for that, really. But he was convinced he could do something.
To break her from her acts of estranged happiness, he lunged forward and playfully nipped at her coat before swinging on his heel and prancing off through the trees back to the fighter's dens.

South
"Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened."
South nodded slowly. So... there was a problem. He always knew Polaris was a bit odd considering her general behaviour but he wasn't the one to judge for it. But still... he couldn't think about kicking her out. For one, they needed wolves for the depleted pack, not less, especially with no pups on the way. And if East was so stubborn to talk, perhaps Polaris would be the only one who could communicate with him.
East... that name sounded so familiar. A tantalising challenge for his memory.
"Very well... I'll leave them be for a moment... then I'll visit them. Besides, I'm afraid I already have plans for the next hour or so." He chuckled warmly, trying to break the tenacious mood. "Thank you, Jaythen. You're dismissed." At that, he trotted back to his den, deciding to get some rest before the planned hunt.
