"Don't fear the wolf but the wild within."
It was some time before the young fae calmed down again. She had adopted a new hatred for that pack of ill-mannered Mountain wolves... did she even hate them before? No... no, this was the first time she'd discovered their existence.
"Jerk wolves." She growled again, lowering her head. She couldn't help but wonder if the encounter would've turned out any differently if he'd been a little more understanding, but nuh uh.
She walked on a bit more, wondering how much farther the River territory was. She wanted to get her mind off of her problems... perhaps a nice little hunting attempt would suffice?
Further procrastinating her return she trotted off again across the empty plains, in search of prey.

North
"Death does not exist for us; remember that 'til the day we die."
North grunted with each step. As soon as he was sure he was out of sight the big brute lifted his hind foot again and continued at a three-legged hobble. He wasn't keen on the thought of going far from the territories, after all, he was still famished and if he was lucky enough he could find the leftovers of a kill made by the packs.
He was half a kilometre from the Stream's borders when he found a small clump of trees, surrounded by tall frosted sheaths of grass. He nestled himself on the ground to tend to his stinging foot and to rest before moving off.

East
“Sometimes the questions are complicated and the answers are simple.”
East made no noise, even when he found his path block.
Now what?! His eyes seemed to say, flashing Polaris an agitated stare. His head was lowered, showing off the scars that decorated the skin beneath that thick off-white fur. What's wrong with you? East thought, bringing his ears forward.
He didn't blame Polaris for nothing. On the contraire, he was grateful for her hospitality despite her odd behaviour and mistaken attack. But South... he didn't know if he could tolerate being near him.

South
"Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened."
South cocked his head. Jay's howl came loud and clear through the crisp atmosphere, bringing him to conclude that her business with the loner was over and (hopefully) successful.
The brute went off at a brisk trot. Camp wasn't all that far away. He was at journey's end within a matter of minutes, and was quick to see the Betaess apparently waiting.
