Ree raised her head a little and nuzzled Kevin on the cheek. She then continued to graze. She looked up and sighed at the empty land. "I wonder if horses will ever come back?..." She mused and trailed off, ending with a sigh.
Fame stood at the end of his small paddock. He had been stuck alone, since he was biting every horse in sigh. He let out a deep sighand rested his head on the fence. The black appaloosa stallion was skinny. He had lost his appetite, and would starve hmself before they even got the chance to put a saddle on him. He raised his head and looked across to the other side, across the fence, to the stallions who were always trying to breed with the mares. He snorted in disgust before laying his head back on the fence.
Shameless let out a loud neigh, hoping that a horse would reply. He had seen no horses in a long time. Almost everone was gone, and he missed his only friend, Gunner. Now, he stood in the middle of a small clearing that was surrounded by tall grass. There was a muddy puddle wher it had rained in the clearing, but besides that, it was dead grass.
