Tenebris laid curled up on a old, dirt speckled pillow. The young female coughed softly, her ears flicking as she became aware of Umbra, her twin brother raise his head from where he lay. She could hear him mumble something, barely audible. She wasn't sure if it was because her senses were still muddled from fatigue. She sighed, her throat slightly dry. She swiped her tongue over her nose, the small barbs itching the fragile flesh, doubling by giving a small bit of moisture to her sniffer. She yawned, which happened to sound more like a scratchy meow. Thirsty she stood up quietly and slipped out of the only entrance and exit to the old, dusty shed that was currently her home, along with Umbra.
She poked her head in after exiting, checking to make sure Umbra was still sound asleep. The last thing she needed was a grumpy burr in her fur. She finally trotted away at a slow run. Approaching a puddle that had formed on rough concrete, she tasted the air, trying to make sure she wouldn't be disturbed. Some cats were hostile around the area, and she was highly alert. The fae quietly dashed over, bending her head down. She lapped at the cool water, satisfaction in her belly. She gave a relived sigh and checked one more time before casually starting to head back.

Seneca stretched, a snowy white glint of a she cat. She yawned and scanned the area with her icy eyes and a flick of her ling white tail. She licked her shoulder and set off qith purposeful steps with small white paws, despite the fact she had no idea where she was headed.

Jeb yawned, his dark golden pelt rippled as he stood from his meal. The mouse had been a lucky catch. He flicked his tail and sniffed the air with curiosity. Meh. Another dull day. The tom set out.

Umbra slowly awoke, pleased to see Tenebris was still there. But by the fresh, cool scent that clung to her he could tell she had left recently and came back. She twitched his ears and poked her, able to tell she was only pretending to still be asleep. "Karma," he muttered her nickname. Although the name she had chosen wasn't even close to the meaning of her true name, it was what she had stuck with. 'Karma' grunted and refused to get up. He simply rolled his eyes and padded away, slipping narrowly through the hole in the wall. He took in the refreshing air of the morning, much more pleasant than the musky scent their 'den' held. He smiled, but soon frowned when his belly rumbled. I guess I should hunt, since that lazy lump in there won't do her job. The siblings had a system where Umbra would offer protection, while Tenebris hunted. Umbra didn't mind the change, because nothing exciting happened often.

--Echo and Dexter

Echo lay cuddled up on an old periwinkle baby blanket. Her slow, steady breathing was quickened by the cold, empty space next to her were Dex was supposed to be. Her eyes slowly opened and began scanning the area. They widened in alarm when her brother wasn't anywhere to be seen. "Dex?" She squeaked. She stood up, her tail raised in the air and her silver tabby fur raised in alarm. "Dexter?" She said a bit louder. She barely had enough time to react when her brother leaped onto her back. "Pinned ya!" Her brother boasted loudly. "Get off you oaf." She shoved up her shoulders, sending her brother falling backwards. He laughed and she couldn't help but laugh too. "Hey look what I found." Dex said, leaving then re-appearing with thrown out poultry. "Dig in." He huffed. "Thank you." She smiled at him and licked his ear before taking a bite out of the chicken. Dex stood and waited for his bites. He scanned the alleyway, looking for any sign of life.

Seneca continued with cinfidence as she never expected any threats. Her white pelt shone proudly and tail held up happily. She stopped abruptly and sniffed the air in disbelief. Cats. It was not happening. She had not seen other cats in ages. Seneca turned slowly and faced where the scent was coming from. "Hello?" She called with a calm and almost demanding tone. Her icy eyes shone with curiosity.

--Echo and Dexter

Dexters ears were the first to hear the approaching animal. When he heard a mew he knew it was a cat. His muscles tensed an his brown tabby fur stood on end. He slunk down the the ground, slowly followed by his sister, and began to pad forward, ears pricked in case the she-cat spoke again. It didn't sound threatening so he made the executive decision to say something back. "Hello." He said quietly. There's no way kits could cause harm to a bigger cat so might as well not risk your life over it.
