I stopped a soon as I saw Jack. "Oh, sorry. I know this may look like.....I mean this isn't what it looks like...." I hid away. Ashamed. This was not how a nursing doe should act.

Twig smiled and nodded, "Of course." He ruffled up his fur and bounded to the entrance of the burrow, "Would you like to go for a walk?" The buck asked kindly.

Fern sighed, awoke from her sleep with a hungry stomach, she bounded out of her den, gripping some wet leaves and pushing them outside of her burrow in neat and tidy rows to help them dry for a warmer bed. She flicked her ears and plucked out a mouth full of grass stems, nibbling on them delightfully.

Jack laughed, having no clue she had kits untill Serinity told him. "So I heard you had kits?" she large buck asked, fluffing up his fur.

Serinity smiled. "Sure." she said before she too bounded out of the burrow up to Twig.

[Nialler.]

Twig sniffed the air, only stale fox scent lurked in the bushes, quickly cleaning himself off, he turned to face Serinity, "So, where would you like to go?"

[Nialler.]

Serinity looked around. "Would you like to accompany me on my alpha rounds? I have to go check the territory and check on everyone."

[orpheus.]

Twig nodded, "Sure." He smiled and let her lead the way.

[Nialler.]

Serinity smiled back and decided to go to the far border, near the mountains. She hoped off in that direction.

Twig followed quickly, pausing only once to take in a few scents. A fox was near, he spotted the white tip of it's tail disappear into the bushes, but decided it was no threat. "So, is it a lot of hard work being alpha? I mean...it is a large rank after all."

[~Fawn~]

"How do you know?" I asked puzzled, "No one knows except the Alpha, I mean Serenity and Fern!" I snapped. "No buck was supposed to know, until the kits are weaned and ready to head outside!" I shook my head in dismay, "Who told you?" I was deeply saddened. I had raised every litter the same way, this time I would have to change my tactics
