MigratingCoconut wrote:ZingaraAshen hued lids shot upwards, revealing the dove's almost onyx-like pools. As the world around her figure came gradually into focus, everything appeared to be in a haze. It looked as though her surroundings were blurred from sleep, but in truth, this setting was shrouded in a cloak of fog. A grin was spread eerily across her facade for it was not quite readable as to what emotion was portrayed; but it was one not to be seen as the gloom ensconced her perfectly. The essa possessed a fondness to this concealing cloud; it was of a similar pigment to her and masked her all the more from the outside. The equine was well into the forest and, while Zingara preferred to blend in and remain unnoticed, she had decided she was bored of solitude as of now. It got tedious after a while; alone with only your thoughts to accompany you. Even though her vision was greatly obstructed, that didn't seem to faze her. As she made her way forward, with soft sucking noises accompanying her every step, trunks would magically appear before her so that she just barely had time to maneuver away. Teardrop nares flared as the scent of other equines drifted towards her, she was getting close. As Zingara continued onwards, the fog was thin enough that she could decipher that there was a clearing up ahead. And when she emerged a little while later, it was like it happened all at once. The way the mist surrounded her, it was as if she had just materialized out of thin air. She retained her position amidst the haze, only the front part of her figure was protruding. This made her appear almost surreal. With her arrival, she scanned the meadow. Once she caught a glimpse of a dark stag (Charcoal), she kept her gaze there. From her distance, she could tell that the drake carried himself high. In confidence she assumed. He was so black that from where she stood, it was almost like he was a silhouette. Being slightly intrigued, she decided it was worth a try. Slowly, she parted her kissers and set loose her vocals in a whinny. Her voice erupted through the air in greeting to the brute. Her song revealed no divulging emotion, no hint or telling of her so it was like she was still wrapped in the fog. Soon after, the dove was once again back in motion. It wasn't graceful but her movement was enticing, especially as she seemed almost ethereal. Zingara didn't get too near for she didn't know anything about this bronc; she was just close enough to be able to gauge his reaction. And so she waited for a reply.

Lark felt the presence getting claser, but couldn't pin-point exactly where it had come from. "Whose there?" She asked, staring blankly into the directon the scent was comming from. The wind whispered to her that it was another equine, a stallion. Her foggy blue eyes scanned the horizon, but witholding the images they saw. She sighed "You might as well come closer. I can't see you." she said "You need not worry about me attacking you either, it wouldn't do much good, now would it?" She said, laying back down and resting her achey body. She had been traveling blindly for a while, and she was amazed she was still alive. She was easy prey. She shook her long mane, and allowed her forelock to fall into her delicate face, not caring if it covered her eyes. They were useless now anyways. The piebald mare shook her mane, feeling a little better, now that she had figured out it was another equine. She lowered her head, taking a bite of the lush grass beside her perch, before bringing her head back up, allowing the figure to come forth and talk if it wished.

She was ready to run, but King wouldn't stop her. He lowered his crown and lipped at the fallen leaves that were along the bank of the stream. If this new darling wished to greet them then she could and he would respond, but otherwise he would leave her be.

Or when she was always taking another step back, just to put an even more comforting distance between them. It was entertaining, both their verbal and physical exchange. She played the part of the innocent prey and him the hunter, stalking her every maneuver. It was almost like a dance but one that he becoming tired of. He knew that, while the beauty would take as many steps back as he progressed, she was going nowhere so he saw no need to test her further. He felt a stirring sensation ripple through him as her lyrics reached his harks once more. They were so sweet and pure. Although, she was only responding in question, not an answer. And so, he figured he would also avoid answering the question. Instead, he proffered a devilish grin as if she should know better than to ask that question and released his vocals. "My, my. Pretty and speaks boldly, good thing I didn't scare you off." His tones were more teasing than mocking now. They held a light and playful ring, but it was hard to believe from his almost menacing demeanor. And while this essa spoke audaciously, she still appeared shy. Under his gaze, she had to look away; ruining the moment, as if it was a special one. But he kept his sights focused on her. He wouldn't back away from her, nor would he move any closer. If she wanted to, he would allow her to make the next forward movement.

Justice snorted and rolled her eyes a little when the other mare still didn't do anything. Her dark eyes shifted when she noticed King moving it bit, but she soon realized he was just going for the leaves on the ground. She took a step towards the river and lowered her lips into the water. Her eyes shifted between the new mare and King as she drank.
