A deep sigh could be heard, a closing of amber eyes could be seen, they suddenly jerked open, and looked down at the scarlet female beside him, of course her name was scarlet and of course, she was his mate. He tried to keep the worried feelings away, forcing them to the back of his mind he did something he never did, he tried to look on the bright side of things, but there wasn't really a bright side. He inhaled quickly and then sighed, pushing forward through the snow and quickly glancing over at his sister, who was staring at Rebuke as if her life depended on him. He rolled his eyes silently. Twitterpated He thought with a slight huff of air, he stopped short and sighed. Listening to the other wolves- He turned to his sister, Midna who spoke up. "Where will we live?" She asked, with a slight shiver of both cold and fear, Shadow growled lightly, wanting to know as badly as her. He sat down and half-lidded his eyes with an expression of disdain. Blue glanced at his darker brother and raised his eyebrows.

Sparks were sent down Shadow's spine as he scooted closer to Scarlet, he was happy that he now had a mate.

Raven nuzzled her pups after settling into the new nursery, taking a load off her aching paws. She sighs softly and lays her head down near her newborns as they nursed. "What were those things chasing us? Why would they drive us from our home..." she whispered to her mate, Tyler.

As Susan panted, laying in the center of "camp", she said, "I'm sorry. This is the only way. Now eat the Thyme to get some rest." Susan rubbed her muzzle against the pup's ear soothingly. She knew their herbs were destroyed in the attack of those wretched things, but she had been able to snag some thyme from the medicine den for Janai. The pack was going to have replenish the stock sooner or later. The outlaws could be lurking around; surely they would have escaped the attack too. And they didn't know if there were any other wolves nearby, either. She sighed.

Scarlet looked over to Shadow, and smiled, rubbing into his chest. "I don't know," she said quietly, shivering. "What was those things? They were with those two-legs," she said with brief whines. She huffed, but soon she realized the faint breathe turning into a mist. "Look at that!" she squeaked excitedly, her words turning into mist soon after. She giggled, her tail wagging as she looked up at the sky. Winter's here, and it's a white wonderland, but everything that's happened to us..

Tyler looked at his mate, laying next to her, trying to guard her from the chills. "I don't know.." he said quietly. "I just don't know. They ruined the forest, that's for sure." He laid his head on his paws, deep in thought. Maybe they're with the Outlaws? No, there were two-legs, too. And those things cut up the whole forest, not just our territory, he thought carefully. They sounded terrible, though, and they reeked, too. I wish we could have saved our home.

Rico felt Rebuke's hostility disperse and soon relaxed. "Yes, I know. But this is the only place. We need to settle for a while before we can look for our old home. Remember, the entire forest were cut down by those metal 'things'." He sighed, looking at his pack. "Of course, there's much snow around here, too. And the trees are shedding their leaves. Everyone's just gonna have to hang in there," he said slowly.

Kyle smiled. "Yes, you seem to be very close to them." He looked down. But not all humans will be like that. Some will try to hunt us down for our pelts and some will just try to capture us for their selfish reasons.

Avery giggled, getting u from under her sister, only to be surprised by a strange but maybe an even dangerous bug. She whimpered, stepping back feebly and rolling on her back submissively, but gave a happy yip as her older sister defended her.

Fang nuzzled his mate, Lilith. "How are you feeling?" he asked, his eyes showing only concern to her. He was a bit unstable, from his crooked paw and weak legs from the cold, but he'd strengthen them sooner or later.

Rebuke growled. "Look for our old home?... Oh Please. It's probably all gone because of those two legs." He slurred, sticking out his forked tongue, the clear claw mark gave his tongue the appearance of a snakelike tongue. His ears perked and he turned around, looking around. It felt as if something was haunting the pack... He lowered his head. "I'm gonna go catch some-... Whatever's in this wicked forest..." He said padding alone into the forest, away from the clearing and their makeshift 'camp'.

Roxanne licked Kyle's cheek, looking over at their pups. She smiled warmly. "I think we're gonna be alright... And there's always plenty of food near humans... They have so much that they leave some in black packages for us." She flickered her tail, her bright cyan blue eyes shining in the whiteness of the winter around them.

The harmless cricket bounced away only to be caught by Fallen's quick swipe of a paw. Thorn lowered her ears and looked down at her sister, nudging her up. She looked over at the forest, the forest looming all around them. The forest looked so big and fun, she wanted to go check it out. She barked at her sister, a quick "Wanna check it out?" kind of yippy bark.

Lilith smiled, her golden eyes glimmering. "I'm fine." She said softly, looking over to watch Rebuke leave she sighed. He was growing more distant as the days passed by. She nuzzled Fang back, his fur warm in the cold environment.

"Yeah.." said Rico. Then this is our new home, then.. he thought, shaking his head. "I'll go mark the borders.." he said, only to himself. He padded out of camp, starting to the meadow. I'll start here. I'll call it the Never-Ending Meadow. He smiled at the meadow which stretched for miles, before making his way through.

Kyle nodded. "Yeah, I think so too." He licked her nose, smiling at their little pups growing up so fast. "I'll protect our family," he repeated his promise. "Do you want me to get you any food for you?" he asked, tilting his head.

Avery tilted her head as the bug hopped away. As she got up, she looked up at the scary big trees. "Um.. sure," squeaked the little pup, not wanting to seem like a little wimp, even though she was very scared.

"Okay," said Fang, his tail wagging across the thick blanket of snow.
