{ Okeey, decide now if you want your wolf to be in the pack or not to start off, and eveyone is up. If your missing a charrie, please make it first before you post. :3 Don't let your wolves be anti-social, either (unless that's their personality) ^__^ ~

Plink...plink...plink

Small hollowed drops of rain echoed into the alphess's ears. She slowly fluttered her eyelids open, displaying her liquid-gold orbs. They blinked away sleep, though it ebbed away quickly because of the cold. No fight. To cold to do anything but move. The chilled dame yawned and slid two feet and her head out of the den, a strip of leaves dragging on her clean snow-white fur. Dream noted no snow and shook her pelt, quietly padding off to her alpha rock. Fresh dew from the bedraggled grass crunched loudly and she took a deep breath for fresh air. Her routine was same-old; her getting up first, scanning camp, waiting for her pack to wake, and sometimes they'd fetch breakfast. Mostly game nowadays, for though the snow has yet to scour the hills, at the slightest cold breath the elk migrated.

The white fae jumped gracefully and curled her tail over her paws to warm the ice that grew in her fur overnight. Ears alert and swiveling, nose twitching, eyes sharp: not even a bird chirp could be heard. In the dead silence Dream heard faint crushing to her left. Her head shot out with such sharpness her neck grew warm with pain. The alphess cleared her throat, rolled her haunches backward and scenting the air. Wolves. And...Void? Ever Black Void looked so much like their father Jagger. Except for the eyes, for Void's were a a deep forest green like their uncle. It was in fact the anniversary of their mother's passing, but she didn't have the guts to inform her brother. It would bring back to many bad memories, and probably disrupt the bickering packs. Dream was known as the better one in spirit, Void's said to be wicked because of Jagger. Her brother fixed it though. Kind of. If there is one thing she learned from her vile memories, it is they can't be erased.

Winter Dreams on a Summer Night scanned her territory. She would renew the markings today for any intruders, but didn't necassarily want to. Small sprouts of yellowed grass poked up from the cold dirt, lacking what it had been in the summer time. The frigid-ness of it all dragged her back to the past. Someone in particular was pulling her. The very same wolf who is searching for them and out for blood. Dream shivered at the thought and her pelt twitched slightly. Quickly, she darted of alpha rock at the scent of other strange wolves. With the sun behind her head, she looked somewhat of a spirit. She was quite beautiful, but never really cared, nor thought so. When given attention, she shies away like the bashful pup she used to be.

Though young, merely two-and-a-half, she had a lot of experience under her belt. Her training was vigorous and she is classified deadly in a fight. Mostly, she'll use her small, elegant body to dart away from blows, but given the right spot to attack, she'll g for the kill. Most underestimate her, which she likes. A hidden power ad poker-face are her best allies in a fight.

Shaking her head clear, Dream wondered what she could accomplish today. She was proud of her growing pack, and would give most the day off besides eary morning duties. In case everyone was not up, she tilted her head back and ommitted a melodic howl, a friendly reminder that the sun was here.

(Before I finish off my female, does the brute seem to perfect? Cause I keep looking at him and thinking I might have gone a little to far or something...That might just be me though. e3e)

||Fae||2 1/2 years||Hunter||Secretly crushing on Void.||

{ A soft fluttering, eyelids withdrawing to reveal bright golden orbs. A sound came to her, causing her ears to prick instinctively. The howl was familiar, for she had listened to it time and time again. The bitter cold stung her nose, causing her to sneeze ever so slightly, she disdained the winter. Oh, yes, it was easy enough for her to hunt in these conditions, especially with a pelt the color of crisp-fallen snow. But her fur was thin, as was her body, so it was a terrible fight to stay warm at times like these. She moved first one leg, then the other, attempting to get the blood flowing easily through her system. Her muscles were cramped from the cold, her veins felt as though they had been injected with ice.

Finally, she hefted herself to her paws, brushing out of the den and unfortunately dislodging snow onto her muzzle. With a shake of her head, it was gone, sent soaring through the air and landing on the ground with a soft plunk. Rena lifted her head high, bright sunlight glinting off of her eyes as she looked to the sky. The dainty white clouds were much like her, constantly moving across the sky, going wherever the wind took them; just like on the hunt. Flashing across the forest floors, going as far and wide as she had to to reign in success.

She shook herself from her thoughts, the howl still ringing in her ear. It was none other than Winter Dreams on a Summer Night, or Dream; as everyone called the young alpha. Oh yes, the fae was young, but she was formidable. She took care of what was hers, and treated everyone in the pack like family, so Rena counted herself lucky for this. And her brother, Void. No, she'd better not allow her thoughts to wander in his direction, lest she be stuck there for eternity. Padding forwards, snow crunching under paw, she easily came to the alpha rock, moving more out of memory than motivation. There were things to do this morning, as there were every morning, and she would do whatever she must to help the pack out.

She said nothing as she sat there, staring at Dream as the other fae howled. The sound was truly music to her ears. In the deafening silence of the forest, when all other creatures were sleeping, and even the birds had yet to sound their alarms, the howl rang out in perfect clarity. Raising her head, Rena was compelled to join in the lilting song. Her voice began softly, though it was soon soaring above the tree-tops, high-pitched yet perfectly toned. The song of wolves was much like a dance, each giving and taking, balancing each other out, making the other sound perfect, picking up where one left off. Truly this was something she could find happiness and solace in, when skies turned gray. Yes. The perfection of getting a note just right, the joy it provided her, was something no other could rise to. Something no one but she could give herself.

{ Sunlight filtered through the make-shift den. Was it truly morning already? A fluttering of lashes, revealing icy blue eyes proved that it was. With a small grumble, the dark form lifted itself from the ground, shaking leaves and twigs from a pelt that stuck out in different directions. There was a small sigh, and then the black shadow pushed itself from the roots under a tree, squinting ever so slightly in the bright winter sunlight that glinted off freshly fallen snow. Great, now it was no doubt that he would stick out like a sore thumb in the 'winter wonderland.' A disdainful snort, the mere sound filled with sarcasm. Still, he had to be grateful that none were around to see him as he was.

Quite the looker, the large brute usually kept his fur meticulously groomed, never one to look unkempt. But a few nights sleeping under a tree on nearly frozen ground could cause a guy to look a little... Well, there wasn't really a word for it, now was there? His fur was sticking out in different directions, black when in shadow, and a rich chocolate brown when the light hit it just right. An unusual color for a wolf, but then again so were his eyes. With his dark fur, it would make sense if he had eyes of yellow, or even green. But no, his orbs were like the sky had fallen into them itself. A pure, crystalline blue, though it could be said that they held a sinister edge.

Chuckling to himself, the sound maniacal even to his own ears, the broad shouldered brute gave a swift, cursory glance around, not that he needed to. For the few nights he had stayed in this territory, he hadn't come across another wolf. Oh, sure there had been scent markers, but there was nothing solid here, so to speak of. No driving force to make him leave, or at least die trying. He grinned then, sharp canines showing, the ivory color glimmering in the soft dawn light.

Suddenly, sound reached his ears. No, it wasn't birds, or even some time of small game animal. The lilting voices his acute hearing picked up were howls. The howls of wolves. By the sound of it, one came first, and then another joined in, which could mean one simple thing. Pack. A growl bubbled up in his chest. Wasn't this just great? The day that he was going to remark boundaries and state his own challenging claim here, he ran into the pack. Frustrated, the brute struck out with one large paw, kicking up snow in its wake. How could he have missed the pack. Better yet, how had they missed him. Eyes narrowing, Cain thought about this for a moment. Either the pack wasn't very big yet, or these were just lone wolves howling together.

Ears twitching, he lifted his head, his own howl cutting through the air. The sound was guttural, a challenge to any to come and find him. Though he couldn't get as high as the other two, he could definitely get as loud. After a few moments, he cut the sound off, sitting on his haunches in the snow. Briefly, he wondered if any would come, and if so how formidable they would be. He was a fighter, and a strong one at that, so he wouldn't go down without one. But if it were fae's... He didn't want to hurt a female, of course, maybe it would be a better idea to join instead. Shaking his head, he growled lowly. Enough thinking, now.. Now it was time to wait and see.

Bʀᴜᴛᴇ Aʟᴘʜᴀ Gᴜᴀʀᴅ 3 Cʀᴜsʜʟᴇss

The whispering song of a wolf entered his ashen ears, growing in volume as did his grasp on conscious. With faint grumble his eyelids lifted revealing his frozen gaze dimmed by sleep. His head raised and ears perked as he managed to untangle himself from sleeps tempting embrace. He shivered as reality hit him full force bringing it's chilling temperature with it. This morning it was noticeably cooler than it had been the past few days, but that was expected seeing as it was winter again. Time didn't seem to enjoying waiting on anything or even pausing to enjoy itself, constantly rushing past everything...Then again, this was it's normal schedule. The brute stood promptly, ignoring the prickling cold that rushed to overtake him. He was grateful for his thick pelt during these months, it kept him warm, doing a fine job at keeping the frigid air at bay. Giving himself a rather rough shake, he removed the clinging remains of his resting place; sending a shower of twigs and dust flying from his pelt.

His ears twitched and angled towards the dens entrance as a second howl joined Dreams'. Their voices had a rather mysterious and haunting quality about them as they echoed down the short tunnel to his lair. They danced around him in the hollowed out sphere of earth he was standing in. It was a beautiful sound, something he had always enjoyed and felt he could listen to for an eternity. He yawned lightly, allowing himself a few moments of the sounds. His eyes began to drop once more and his legs felt weak under the weight of sleep. How nice and warm this place was...He mumbled something incoherently, teetering sideways before snapping his eyes open once more. It was morning, time for doing not sleeping. With that he padded outside, the cool air on his muzzle aiding him with waking up.

No blinding light to greet his still tired eyes gave him the impression it hadn't snowed over night. He paused to stretch the sleep from his limbs, reaching one leg out at a time before pulling them back to him. Then, As his eyes became adjusted to the light he glanced towards Alphas' rock, noting it was empty of the lovely snowy Alphess, she was instead beneath it. Dream and Rena seemed to be the source of the howling. A faint grin spread across his maw as he watched them, it was a pleasant way to wake up.

His eyes drifted towards Void and then Lily, who was just leaving her den as well. With a wagging tail he trotted over to the two and plopped down beside them. He rose his muzzle to the sky and allowed his own howl to slip from his parted jaws and echo throughout the trees. It was cut short though as an unknown howl entered, challenging and rough. His head dropped and a faint growl escaped his tongues' ivory prison. Intruder...Instinctively he moved beside Dream, knowing there was now a possible threat within the territory.

Dream dropped her velvety black nose to the sky, lips parted as she intook the clear air. It tasted like a breeze was coming, and she also felt it down to her marrow. The alphess swiped her tail over alpha rock, jumping gracefully and landing with a light thud. She was quite small for an alphess, but the muscles were hidden beneath her long white fur that curled some-what at the ends. Her fur wasn't very long anyway, just longer than most wolves around this area. At Rena joining in, then a strange howl, her eyes narrowed curiously toward the trees. Whoever it was wanted to be found. "Morning, everyone." She smiled softly in greeting, still anxious about the male near her territory. When Ash moved closer, she knew she wasn't the only one to hear the deep, chilling howl. "I'll be right back. I'm going to hunt game, and then find that brute." Dream touched her nose to Ash's shoulder to let him know she'd be fine, smiling in reassurance. The alphess stood with an arch-like swish of her tail, elegantly striding into the forest on nimble paws.

Gold eyes stared ruefully through the gaps of a bush, a fierce, predatory glimmer sparking off of the liquidy orbs. Though the world was otherwise peaceful, the birds chirping, river gurgling despite the cold, and wolves chatting at camp, the air was heavy with tension, like a cord stretched taunt. Slowly, the white head of a rabbit appeared. The fae rounded up into her arched hunter's crouch and struck, attacking the white rabbit at a startling speed.

A few cries of death hummed in her ears and she dispatched it quickly, known for not giving to much pain to prey. It was quite big, for the abundance was incredible here. With the kill in her powerful jaws, Dream trotted back to camp and dropped the kill in the ever-growing pile. Now that hunting was out of the way, it was time to meet the loner on her territory. Slowly, the alphess padded over to the scent, shoulders jutting with each silent step. Time seemed to freeze as she rounded the corner, skidding to a halt at the large black brute, who was just letting his muzzle down from the howl. Though her stance was intimidating, her eyes were serene and open-minded. "Hello," She said, eyes narrowing in curiousity. "Do you have any business here? Or did you not catch the border?" Dream asked, relatively calm. The comment was a bit sarcastic at the end, a tone she rarely used. When adressing her pack, she's fair, when adressing a loner, she's calm. It just isn't in the dame's nature to be rude without a reason.

Dream analyzed him quickly. He was quite attractive, but she never fell for anyone based on looks. Sure, it was a perk, but if you aren't what she's looking for personality-wise, good bye. An instant turn-off for her is arrogance. She can't stand it one bit, even for a proud alpha. The white female is humble despite her rank, yet she can pride herself through the pack. As much as her father wanted her to be like him, Dream is the spitting image of her late mother. Same white fur, willowy build, and sweet persona. Moonlily's influence was far to strong on her and Void to become the demon Jagger was, and that's how their story began.

--

Void let out a soft yawn, shaking his head to wake himself. He woke early and barely slept due to his condition. He must have caught a kind off cold, which caused him to hack until his airway was free again. And of course, it would come back again and worse. The brute let out a throaty cough, which pained his lungs. He'd be okay in another day, as Dream told him, for he had taken the herbs needed to stop it. Everytime he breathed it came out hoarse, so he dipped his head to excuse himself for a moment. Ever Black Void trotted to the convenient river that ran through camp, dipping his muzzle in and taking a drink. It soothed his rough throat and he shut his eyes for a momen, icy rivulets streaming down his muzzle and onto his chest.

He shook his pelt free from the excess drips and trotted back to the little group, finding a seat next to Rena. She was a pretty she-wolf, but it never really got to him. If he likes someone, they'll know. He finds himsef jittery and nervous, afraid to mess up. This also means he'll try to impress said fae in any current way possible. Like Dream, Void's eyes sparkle when he loves someone, which only happened once, and to a female that chose another male, then died due to a fatal hoof to the head not to long after. Since then, he'd been kind of iffy on love. Was it real, would it happen, etc.

Void blinked his rich, forest green eyes and gained attention again. "Okay, since Dream's busy, I'll set up the morning duties. Ash, go follow Dream just in case the brute is aggressive. Rena, would you like to check the borders with me? You can go off on your own if you'd like.'' Even thought not everyone was awake, he figured the pack would be fine without him.
