He perked his ears and looked up from his meal. He listened to Sara and jumped to his paws in a frenzy. He bolted away from the elk and the other wolves to save Diablo. He reached the river and looked around for the black wolf. He saw him and dived in. He grabbed his scruff and kicked furiously through the water towards the shore. He dragged him up and out of the water and shook out his own black fur.

She heard all sorts of noises at the river and decided to investigate. She reached the other wolves and gasped as Black dragged Diablo out of the icy river.

Sara started crying for all the lives she put in danger.

Diablo

Diablo growled when Black helped pull him out of the river. He quickly pulled away from the other male and shook off, "I was doing fine on my own." He mutters as he tried to get the cold water off his fur. He didn't like people trying to help him, let alone helping him do something that he could have done on his own.

(Not trying to be rude, but that's kind of how his brain processes things. )

Sara ran over to Diablo and said "i'm so sorry, and thank you", she shivered from the icy water.

He shook his head as Diablo growled at him. He shook out his black fur and looked around at the crowd of wolves.

She looked down at Diablo. "Are you okay?" She asked him, worried that he would growl at her, too.
